I don't think you hurt any one but people have to know there is people out there that have been through it and will be there to support them so please don't worry as I would rather be on here telling people how great life is now and if it helps one person I would be so happy

Malc, I think it probably touched a raw nerve with a lot of people. Don't blame yourself. As I said before, I know of a lovely man who this happened to so it certainly does happen to men. Take care Mandy x

I added to your original thread and i'm sorry but i think people need to know these things are going on. We can't go around ignoring subjects because there not nice. Terrible things happen in the world today and there will always be someone who objects to what is said, but i thought we still lived in a country where we had free speech! Joanne.

Joanne I dont think anyone objected to the thread but they found some of the comments made in some of the posts very upsetting . The thread its self was a good thread but when you get people posting who have simply no idea what so ever why people stay in situations like that. Paul

Paul, I agree with what you say, that is why i added to the original thread to give some people an insight on what goes on when someone is being beaten. We can all say walk away but not always possible. Joanne.

Malc, I did not see it, but I am in complete sympathy with anyone who suffers, man or woman. My sister suffered for years. Deanna

It is true that some of us have no understanding of the violence that can occur, cannot even begin to comprehend the abuse, but that does not mean it should not be debated! Maz x

True Barbara, there are these women. I've known them in my lifetime, and very proud they are too of their abillity to cause trouble. deanna

Malc I didn't see the thread, so don't know what was said, but as a victim of domestic violence many years ago, as well as knowing a good male friend who suffered from it, i know it is a very emotive subject. I am sure having read your threads in the past you meant no harm, and had a reason for whatever you said. Please don't feel too badly, its just a hard subject for some of us to deal with. You are one of the good guys :-) Yvette xx

Malc I also didnt see your thread, but can guess what it was about. Not from a personal point of view but has an observer I have seen domestic violence from both sides of the spectrum, and there are lots of men who suffer from it as well as women.Unfortunately there are a lot of people who push there partners into violence too, verbal abuse can be just as damaging as physical abuse. Malcom You've nothing to apologise for - people who have no experience of domestic violence need to hear about it from those who have to gain an understanding of it. David
