I quite like the village I live in its not perfect but in the last few years we have had most of our green spaces built on wether we like it or not and the influx of second home owners is out of control. This would not bother me so much if they didn't compain about the sillyiest things last year one got very irrate and barged into a local garage and demanded to know what was going on as it had awaken him inthe dawn hours from his weekend sleep. The offender the local farmer in the middle of summer with his combine doing his job to put food on our tables. The person was going to make a formal compaint. Is it no wonder that they get told to go back where they come from .London.

When i lived in Hereford i asked same question. Our friend (local farmer) had numerous complaints re mud on tracks in mid winter when these were cattle tracks !!

I Know.

Deep breath....

We get them here coming in from the city and complaining about the mud on the road and the cockerels and the rain and snow its ridiculous and theres no kids in the school cos its all holiday cottages and the post office is closing cos theres no one to post letters and they all wear green wellies and their dogs chase the sheep and and they dont like hunting and they complain when there's sheep on the road so they have to slow down to 120 mph and they never close the gates and park where they want and throw macdonalds out of the window (even though theres not a macdonalds for 75 miles...................

ran outa breath

But you get the gist...:-)

Huh. Butcher, eh. So you live in a posh village.

We have a mobile charity shop in the back of an old ford escort which calls once every 3 weeks.

Some people have it sooooo easy.

We have two shops one with a post office, one open pub, one closed down pub, a weekly market and a mobile bank.

When they spead muck on the fields all the Devon locals bitterly complain !...except us full time resident Londoners who dont actually breath the whole time we are outside the house lol
