I used to hate my name when I was younger. There weren't many Jeanette's around and I just wanted a normal name like everyone else. I much preferred my middle name which is Louise. I've got used to it now after forty years! lol Jeanette x

Always wanted to be called Robyn - signed my name as that for years at school when I was very young. Emma's so common - in the popular sense of the word!

I do like slightly strange names... especially those derived from special things eg. Etholle (pronounced: eh-tol-e) from the french word for star (Etoile)

I am the baby of five!! My family could not decide on a name. The contenders were Lucielle, jennifer, samantha, another name of a friends dog (my brothers choice) & Susan...In the end it was picked out of a hat. So susan won!! I would of preferred something more modern for that time...But now I can live with...... Susie.....xx

I used not to like my name when I was young, was known as Carrie at junior school, then Cas at high school. but now I think I've grown into it and it sounds strange when old friends send me christmas cards etc. I get bit annoyed when people call me Caroline (especially after I've told them about 10 times)!
