I agree with Lemon too, but on the basis of the fact that women get the blame for everything I have a suggestion. I think that women of the world should unite and beat all little boys into peeing sitting down. Then, if they all did it there would be no pressure to be like 'the big boys' and pee standing up. Hmm, maybe not - I can just see it now - instead they'd try to make their peeing competitions acceptable and public and a new Olympic discipline or something equally outrageous. Forget I said any of this!! :-)

actually thats a fair point Howie... Sharon is always compaining about the state of the ladies toilets at her office, she's complained many times that some of the women (clearly not ladies) that use them leave them in a terrible state. The Gents at my office are always spotless.

Hasn't anyone else noticed that if you walk pass public conveniences quite often the mens smell awful, but the ladies are fine. Never having been in a mens loo I've always wondered just how they manage to make them smell that bad. But having read the other thread I think I might be beginning to understand!!! Angela

By the way, the ladies loo in our office is always clean and neat. However, the mens loo is always closed for cleaning/repairs. Wonder why. Angela

Hi Felicity nice to see you....they can't P properly when little boys, sitting down.....I tried it with mine. Because when the moment came....the little er...tiddly bit stiffens and shoots upwards. So instead of a splash you get a fountain which is worse....ooooh hek this thread is really going down the pan :-)

I have noticed that some public toilets when flushed seem to splash water on the seat and Im sure I havent made a mess which needs washing off. So lets blame the flushing system. I do envy men though if I am out tramping and want to go. 'They dont know how lucky they are'. My aim is not so good then, sometimes get it on my tramping boots. Dont go tramping now, boots have rotted? p.s. I am a woman, even though some men have the name Huia.

Hi Lemon. It sounds like quite a problem you had. I hadn't thought of things being that way because it didn't happen with my boys. They succumbed to peer pressure as soon as they started school and of course if they ever used a public toilet..... I remember my 5 year old running out of the men's toilets in a local park yelling at the top of his voice, 'Muuummeeee!!! I got to do a wee against a wall!!!!' ALL eyes focussed in our direction! Howie, my husband often comments on the apalling state of the Gents where he works, and he works in a very fancy office.

Yes the female anatomy is a bit of a disadvantage when caught short in the countryside etc. Its hard to be discreet while trying not to prang oneself on thistles or nettles. Managed to topple over backwards into a rather muddy hedgerow full of midges and daddylonglegs once. Angela
