Just looked it up Tryphena is Greek for delicate and is a biblical name. Apostle Pau mentions two Greek ladies Tryphena and Tryphosa. I have Major Bidwell. Imagine calling a child Major! Not really unusual but imaging this poor girl going through life as Pleasance Plightling! Marshall was popular for boys and as a second name for GIRLS on my mums side! Mansfield (m) Ackworth (m) Lancelot (m) William Weir and his surname started with W also. What do some parents think about! Hortence (f) Vonny |
