Ancestry Canadian passenger lists -- I don't subscribe

Emily Grace Rugg year date vessel Quebec, Quebec

I narrowed the year to 1882.

Other Ruggs arriving in Quebec in 1882:

Samuel
Mary Jane
Luellia
Alma L Ann
William
Thurza

Is that the record you were referring to -- *TO* Quebec?

It sounded like the other Ruggs weren't travelling with the Samuel and Grace, from what you said.

This is Joseph's household with his parents in 1871

Samuel Rugg 61
Grace A Rugg 62
Amelia G Rugg 26
Samuel J Rugg 21
Joseph J Rugg 18
Rebecca A Rugg 17

As I noted, the names are very consistent.

Rebbie = Rebecca? or at least a variant of, anyway.

No birth to match that, either.

Thank you Janey, have been in contact with the cousin and she seem to think that is the right family you have found.
The family names seem to be the same.

Regards for the time you have taken a times i have been lost.

I am also looking for grace emily Rugg. We have Joseph rugg's birth cert. his marriage cert to douglaseanie aymers, We know about her going to America. Rebbie would seem to be the first born.... no certificate. then Joseph was born to Joseph and Jessie and died a short time later we have those certificates (april may june 1892) then came grace emily seemingly born in 1894. The fact that a child born to both joseph and jessie between, rebbie and grace makes it unlikely that the girls were born across the pond as joseph was born here between them.
