Dear Eldrick, I have just got in from work....or I would have answered this before...
You asked the question, how many of these Cults, should we tolerate? If you do not believe that God exists, which you have stressed on several occasions.......How can you go along with there being any religious cults...in so much, that there is a difference between the organised state/world .religions and minority beliefs.. surely to a man with your opinion of God, all belief, and all religion....all have the same value.... or am I mistaken?....and, you do show a preference to some beliefs/religions. . If that person is law abiding and a tax paying member of this country's society, should'nt that person have the right to worship whatever God they choose....or no God at all.... I do agree with you that, quote ''no Religion/belief should cause physical or mental harm'' to any other person....
just a small point.... Is it so bad that a persons deep religous belief, forbids them to take up arms against their fellow man?? after all I have read many a thread and post on here saying....religion causes war......and yet when one hears of a people who will not kill.or join military forces.......they are vilified.for it...... How refreshing that there should be a religion that stands by their commitment to their belief...to love their fellow man......I would certainly feel safe in their company..... cmd xxxxxx

Hi CMD
I am pretty indifferent, to be honest, to any of them, as I have no personal belief at all, as you rightly point out.
I do, however, question why some should be more 'privileged' than others, if you will allow me to put it that way, which is, I suppose, my point.. The fact that they exist is meaningless....if someone wants to believe that magic underpants somehow makes them a better person, so be it. I prefer more rational ways :-)
But let me put it this way - do you think it it OK, for some faiths to be exempt from certain things? I personally don't - that has nothing to do with anyones beliefs or faith - its simply a matter of fairness and equitable treatment.

Dear Eldrick, I do get your point.....and respect your stance on whatever you choose...you are a free man....to do whatever you choose.... but how can it be made equal?...people of no faith should have no preference either....... to say whether people with faith..should be made to partake in anything that they believe conflicts with their belief... It is just my opinion and my knowledge that, some of the beliefs, that get called 'cults.'...are in fact more peaceable, and lawabiding, than the major world religions...and would not dream of going to war, to kill at all, let alone their fellow believer in another country...
''It swings and roundabouts'' me dear..... cmd xx
