I was thinking of C H as Castle Howard (i.e. Brideshead...) but that wasn't built till c. 1699...

evening all

I'm thinking along the lines of:

S House/Hall, the Oldest Inhabited British Building in E S H, Built in 1260, is now Known as C House/Hall

(done the Casle Howard bit myself, Jan - same conclusions as you)

S House/Hall the Oldest Inhabited B Building in Edinburgh Scotland Hall Built in 1260 is now Known as C Hall

WhackyJackieInOz

WhackyJackieInOz Report 16 Mar 2009 05:55

Well it has to be in England, Scotland or Ireland if you have family connections Daff as Australia doesn't go that far back with their History

I was thinking Scotland they seem to be the oldest but according to Wiki the oldest doesn't start with C

Question
Is this Hall part of a Castle or Stately Home Maybe?

Daphne

Daphne Report 16 Mar 2009 06:59

Hi Jackie
This is in England and not a castle. The building is more modest and just called ?Hall. There are a lot of articles on the net about it and it has a bit of a weirdo cult following.
