The Holy Trinity Baptism record of Owen', the son of Owen (1765) Campbell, states "Owen Campbell Son of Owen Campbell and Anne his wife Born August 26th " and this was on 19th September 1790.
There seems to be some reasons for accepting the Howing is just another spelling of Owen. If so, he would have been 25 when he is shown as "accidentally" coming to his death on 29th May 1790. From the above we know that his son was born on 29th August later in the same year, and there is unfortunately no mention on his Baptism record that his father was deceased. The more that I think about it, however, the more I am beginning to accept that these two could be the same person.
Son Owen 1790-1867 Death Certificate shows him as a Book Hawker. He died on 10th June 1867 at Harpers Yard, Walmgate, York. He was 79 years old..
