A few of his descendants and I recently organised the installation of a gravestone for JPC and his wife Sarah in Histon Road Cemetery. If there is anyone that has information on JPC's ancestors from his grandfather back, I would love to hear from you. John Campbell.

John Pepper Campbell's father was a POTTER........as per the 1821 baptism record, the image of which can be seen on Ancestry
Ditto his marriage to Mary Pepper
The person whose tree is on Ancestry has presumably assumed this man to be connected..............
The Ancestry tree owner wrote: "Owen was a printer and bookseller his entire life. He lived in Lancashire for a while."

I have a wealth of information on my ancestor John Pepper Campbell 1821-1888 (which can be seen on my family tree which is open to all) for whom I with others on July 9th 2022 arranged for a headstone to be installed on his grave in Histon Road Cemetery, Cambridge. His father was the three times married Owen Campbell 1790-1867, and again, my family tree gives a comprehensive story of his life. My details on his father, another Owen, are more sketchy. I know that he was born in 1765, and a few details of his life are shown in my family tree. However, I do not know the date of his birth, nor when he died. That is as far back as I have been able to trace. So if anyone has found his birth certificate, of anything about his parents, I would be more than interested. Thanks, John Campbell.

John's tree is on Ancestry. (Campbell Family Tree)
The "few details" about Owen 1765, which John mentioned above, are only his approximate (ie - guessed at) birth in 1765 in Rothwell, Leeds, Yorkshire, and his marriage in 1785 to Anne Wilson in Rothwell.
No other tree on Ancestry has any more info. One tree suggests his birth was 1755, without any proof. That may be a typo.

If the 'tree' which Maddie copied is the one added by our OP..................how does he reconcile his statement that Owen born 1790 was a Printer/Bookseller 'his entire life' with the FACT that on his 1820 marriage and his son's baptism, he is recorded as a POTTER.
I'm not saying it ISN'T the same man, but....................

[Adding to ErikaH's post at 14:16 . . . ]
In fact, unless I've missed something, there doesn't even seem to be any proof that the three marriages were for the same man.
We don't know the age or parentage of the man/men who married Hannah Davies or Mary Pepper.

The one certainty is that he was a widower when he married Susannah……if he was truthful
The Owen Campbell whose death in York was mentioned in the local newspaper on 15 June 1867 was 79 years of age - therefore born at least two years earlier than 1790
There was a baptism at Rothwell on 19 Sep 1790……father Owen, mother Anne, but child’s age not transcribed

I must apologise to ErikaH who has been trying to make me understand how I should reply to all who have taken the trouble in trying to help my hopes of discovering more about my ancestor Owen Campbell 1765-. All comments have been very much appreciated. I have family trees on Genes Reunited and Ancestry, and I thought that I had left these open for all to see. However, if anyone has problems with this please contact me and I will open them again to them. The first actual document that I can find about Owen 1765- records his marriage on 25th December 1785 at Holy Trinity, Rothwell, Yorkshire, although his name was actually spelt "Owing" on this. However he would not have realised the mistake as both he and his wife, Ann Wilson, entered "X" as their mark on it. Baptism record for his son, also called Owen 1790-1867, shows "Son of Owen and Anne his wife Born August 24th". Other than the above, I cannot discover anything further about Owen 1765- I do have a lot of details on my family trees about his son Owen 1790-1867, and even more about his Grandson John Pepper Campbell 1821-1888 for whom I with a few others recently added a Gravestone to his grave in Histon Road Cemetery, Cambridge. John Pepper was a Baptist Minister for most of his life, and his father Owen is variously described as a Potter, Printer and a Bookseller. In the 1861 census he is shown as Bookseller - Local Methodist Preacher. I cannot find any references to the trade of his father, Owen 1765- The West Yorkshire Archive Service, who hold the records of Holy Trinity Church, Rothwell, can only find his marriage and the baptism of his son There is a reference to a "Howing Campbell, who accentually, casually & by misfortune came to his death" on 29th May 1790. Although it is possible that Howing is an additional spelling for Owen, this is rather a long shot.. .

Yes, Howing will be a variation in spelling of Owen.
You have to remember that spelling was not standardised in those days, and people spelled names as they thought they sounded - which could also be affected by a local accent.

Don’t get fixated on a birth year of 1765 for the father of the child baptised in 1790……he could have been born somewhat earlier, and not necessarily in the Parish in which he married. Be flexible in your approach to this quest.

The description of Howing Campbell's death in Rothwell in 1790 says "accidentally", not "accentually".
It doesn't give his age - which isn't helpful.
It may say he was a pauper - though that may relate to the woman on the line above. It's hard to tell.
