Would it be really bad of me to have a couple of vases of lilies in my house over christmas knowing that someone who is due to visit wont stay too long cos she hates the smell of them?

Ooooooh Jax, if you like her company then cut of the long spiky bits in the flowers and there will be no smell......but if you would rather she did not stay too long, then get three bunches to make sure.....lol

Its my sil, she makes me uncomfortable in me own home and even the kids feel they have to sit and be quiet as she dont like children well not mine anyway.

Well Jax...the smell of lilies gives me migraines, I can whiff them from fifty paces so I definitely wouldn't stay long ;-) It depends how long you actually want this person to stay .....pmsl!

I'd place one vase in the hall (as she enters) one in the lounge (behind settee/chair where she sits) and one in the bathroom (where she will try to escape - pmsl!!)

Please let us know if its effective - could be stored for future use!

I found this out at me wedding, what made it worse was she has a table decoration of the in front of her pmsl

I reckon I've seen a room spray with a lily fragrance - lol - you wont even have to buy the flowers, just squirt it round liberally!! (it could even be one of those that squirt automatically once every couple of minutes - oh joy!!!)
