Why is it some people decide they can run people off this site?

I have been chased off a couple of times but why?

If we read a post a certain way that is our fault NOT the poster, unlike face to face we decide all by ourselves how a post is read - few of us will manage to get it right!


Billy's mum is not a spiteful person, she has feelings, and things that have affected her in her life will of course seem very sensitive to her when others make jokes that touch onto the sorrow she has lived with - whether it is known to the poster or not.

Newbies make the same mistakes and the oldies on any chat board. NO one member owns this site or any of these boards, we all have our share in them from the subs we pay!

Too many people stop posting due to some form of harassment or they refuse to renew their membership due to feeling unwanted on the boards. That is not the way it should be - we all have views, we all have problems but NONE of us need the abuse.

I don't know what happened last night and I don't want to, all I know is when a person is reduced to tears over a chat board then there has been spite directed in that persons way - I hope GR was informed, as equally as I hope the spiteful people get reprimanded!

Leave people alone if you can't say anything nice, no person has any right to hurt another.

I did read the thread that i think your talking about it was not nice to read , it leaves you with a bad taste , it started well but went down hill , its a shame as up till then i was enjoying it all >

Thank you for voicing a lot of peoples thoughts Gill. I did wade through it and it wasn't pleasant reading.

Look this is not a thread intended for trouble, breaking T&C's by giving as good as you get isn't getting anyone anywhere. Can we please lets not get into costs or rows I have asked rose to remove her thread and david would you also remove yours please. No offense but this is a thread only to remind us its near christmas and we shouldn't hurt people.

All I meant is GR asks us not to respond to baiting etc - sticking up for ourselves can sometimes lead to us being banned that is all I meant Rose.

On this occasion I agree with Skwirrel

Giving as good as you get leads to more upset when you get suspended or banned for retaliating....which is often what the "other" person is intending.

Ive learned that to my expense in the past, and have lost a good friend on here who retaliated & got banned.

Its not worth it

Yes jan I have been told this,

though I don't like what happened to billy's mum I have also read the thread that you refer too.

Both are hurting and upset, both need a little time to gather themselves and then start again - this is not a blaming thread so much as 'a need to know' thread.

We all need to know how hurtful it is to argue to the depths of spitefulness, bullies and others who like to chase people of the boards need to know it is not going to be accepted anymore.

Most on here would just like a friendly site with laughs and when needed to have someone to share tears with.

No offense meant to anyone.

I read Santa's helpers thread last night and too be honest got the jist that she had abit of a set too with another member and a bit upset by it.

What I then went to read she was being told to delete it and other memebers was told to " go back to gen " I was horried to read this on both accounts. Who has the right to dictate to paying memebers what they or where post as its been said already as long as they stick within the T & C. As I have already said on the thread it self would they go tips or records and do the same? They do not own the boards GR does. They have no right to dictate to anyone.
I like chat I like to pop over and say hi to the girls and have always felt welcome and never ignored.

All most of us want is a laugh and a shoulder to cry on when things go wrong.
