He hasn't poo'd all evening. Thought why o why did I make the vets appointment.

I thought too soon........

He's eaten a loaf of bread (jumped up and nicked it from the work surface) and broken into the cupboard and eaten a dishwasher tablet.

I've made him sick so hopefully it's no harm done.

I'm worried about tomorrow but I am using a different vet so hoping a new pair of eyes may help.xx

It may not be so bad as you think muffy. I know your dog is older and a little bit senile so its not the same....but I rescue animals that are difficult to rehome.

One of my babies (well shes five) has IBD 'Inflammatory Bowel Disease'.

Without her meds she has an awful stomach, loose bowels, cant hold down food and looses blood too - but on medication she is happy and healthy most of the time - we have a few relapses every year but on the whole she is happy and healthy.

She has something called Zantac to help her stomach lining. Prednicare Steriods and Antisetine or something similar in name.

It sounds complicated but its not its a simple routine of injecting medication at bad times and just oral meds each day.

It could be something as simple as that hun xxxxxxxxx

If Its not I will bethinking of you as I have been there too - but think posative for the moment until you have seen the vet.

Dont cancel the appt.

Thanks Maddie.

I won't cancel. I don't want to go but I won't cancel. Whatever happens he needs veterinary help. I'm hoping they can find a physical something that we can treat xx

It's not good news. He's going back at 4.50 tonight to be put to sleep.

I can't see very well through tears at the mo so am going to sign off til later and spend a bit of time with him while I can. You've all been so kind I just wanted to let you know.

Thanks everyone.xx

My heart goes out to you, big (((Hug))) hun. Wish I could say more to ease the pain, but just don't have the words.
