Thank you Dave, I too will copy and paste for a friend of mine who actually has suffered from manic depression for several years - was controlled by drugs but she has weaned herself off and so far is fine.

I've been off work for three months now with depression (not for the first time). I have another month off. So time to look in on here! I thought your words say very well how it feels. I would print it off for you but see you have an offer. It's such an effort to do anything isn't it. I see you are in hospital, hope you are getting better. Thanks for poem. Carole

Depression can hit anyone at any time, and your thoughts are echoed by many many people, some days me included,
I wish you well Dave, There is always a light at the end of that tunnel thats something you really never have to give up believing in

Hello Dave - l love libraries, the only thing with ours is l've looked at all the books that l like, so don't bother to go now. l tend to look on the net at libraries for Monmouthshire, that way l might get something new from another branch!!

Are you ok - do you have somewhere to stay?? You take care now.

Hi Dave.

I have just suggested to Gwen on her thread that she enquires about a charity who would print her poems on a yearly Calendar. It may be that there is also a group you could write for. Just a thought, and it may help with the healing process to be able to bring help to others in the same predicament.

You have obviously touched the hearts of others with just this one, who knows, it may be just what you need to help you on your way to recovery.

i have printed off your poem as it says everything i have tried to say myself but could never explain myself properly
now maybe my friends and family will start to understand im not just feeling sorry for myself .

Have just read your poem for the 1st time and thought it brilliant! I dont think that any one who hasnt been there can really understand even if they try. Just wanted to say to you well done for coming so far.I've been there too and now thankfully I am back at work and doing ok.You can get through this.Be kind to yourself,recovery takes its own time.I wish you well and soon.
