I don't know what's up with me at the moment ... I just seem to be so tired lately. Maybe it's the onset of Winter although this has been going on for about 8 or 9 months now. |

Gaynor, please go and get another blood test, asap. You could be anaemic, or your thyroid might have got a bit worse..or this could be the onset of diabetes. Are you thirsty a lot as well? |

Gaynor, it is wonderful to se your name on the boards again.. but please do as your told and get to your GP as soon as possible!!!. And point out that if your thyroid is continually at borderline, your body is not operating at full throttle so to speak. the line at borderline is fuzzy.. some people operate well, others feel symptoms such as yours. But you need to see your doctor. |

I don't think I'm diabetic... I'm not particularly thirsty and i know my blood count is ok cos my Dad's diabetic and I tested it with his sticky pen thingy. I was 4.7 which he says is good. |

We are all entitled to moan sometimes, and although tiredness doesn't sound like much of a symptom, it can indicate something bigger. |

I have to admit.... although we laugh about it at home... I DID fall asleep standing up in shower one night !!! How is THAT possible? But I did all the same even though it must have only been for a few seconds. lol |

gaynor, you cant judge your blood sugars by that test sometimes mines ok.you need to have a fasting blood test which can check your bloods from the passt few weeks which is how long it takes for each cell to die. |

Actually EB is right, your sugars might have been ok at the time you tested, so don't eliminate it. A fasting blood test will show sugar levels from the last three months, and glucose leaves a trail, which won't be picked up on a home testing kit. |

My Mum had an underactive thyroid but it wasn't diagnosed until she was about 70... she had a job getting it diagnosed too... I think our GP is maybe rather cautious. |
