Janet in Yorkshire Report 10 Sep 2007 15:32

As they haven't actually been charged, there is nothing tangible for them to cry "not guilty" about. Nor to clear their names from.
Only bad public opinion on some issues, and that is harder to change, I would have thought.

The first rule to remember is.....Read an account in the news papers/TV/radio...add a large/medium/small according to publication, of salt and there is a grain of truth there.

We must remember that as far as news papers are concerned they want banner headlines, they are what sells newspapers.

Until were hear from "the horses mouth" remember to take a pinch of salt.

Having said that.....we have all said at some time in our lives..."If only"...hindsight is a perfect science !!!!! Whatever the outcome of this sad happening, the mcCann`s will have to live with it for the rest of their lives.

If they "did away" with Madeline, where did they hide the body????? As visitors to Portugal I would think they did not know the area, so how come they have hidden her so well ?????

Whatever has happened to that little girl I hope she was not frightened or in pain.

A police file of evidence which allegedly proves that Kate McCann killed her daughter is expected to be handed to a public prosecutor in Portugal today.

Detectives believe they have now collected enough evidence for Mrs McCann to be charged with the homicide of Madeleine by failing to prevent her death. The charge is equivalent to manslaughter in British law. She would also face a charge of concealing a Madeleine’s body.

The McCann’s had previously insisted they would return to Portugal if requested by police but their decision to consult a British expert in extradition law has led to speculation that they may fight an extradition order.

i dont know if anyone else is feeling this, but as bad as it all looks,as a mum and nan i dont want to think that either parentscould be guilty of concealing maddies body.
i dont want to think that they then set up a fund and conned the world.
if maddie died by accident surely to god they would have just said .............this is what happened.
and hold there hands up to neglect.
am i being soft.........are people [if guilty ]capable of doing things like this.
and also i think one of the problems started for me when they poo pooed the neglect issue.
instead of saying we made a terrible mistake.
im still asking friends family work mates what they think and no-one is sympathetic to the parents.not one.xxx
