Please don't feel obliged to answer all my threads - it has been just great that when you're feeling at a low ebb you are all actually there to have a word - I can't tell you how uplifting this chat has been. Lynda - you carry on - I won't hold the fact that you're a lunatic against you - it does help. Lin |

Im here *waves hand in air * lol I agree Lin to chat over the keyboard is very frustrating....I usually post and come back if I can about 5 mins later or the next day.......I find there is just too much going on and if the connection is slow the threads take a life time to refresh etc..........so my intrests goes. Like you see nout better than good cuppa and a face to face to put the world to rights is there...... : ) Much happiness Debi |

Sorry Jude - lets see hobbies - have you every watched Most Haunted, well it's not a hobby as such but I tend to rummage around very old and historic buildings. Mainly because of the history factor, but if there is a scary story attached all the better. Am I scared? the answer to that is sh**less and it gets the old blood pressure going. Lin |

Oooooooooo Lin could you find any info on an old derelict house called "Piercefields" in Chepstow, its on the race course grounds and now owned by them. l have looked but not found much. The americans took it over and had wonderful balls there - but for some reason tried to burn it down. l have some photo's of it and apparently the Chepstow Race company are going to restore it - can't wait. Thanks for the reply:o)))) Jude sarf wales |

Hello Lin, I don't want to be controversial - but I know EXACTLY what you mean. Sometimes I wonder if it is only me that can see my post! When I do get a response it's usually from someone who isn't a 'regular'. I get very weary of putting my point of view, being ignored, and then someone else puts forward the same thoughts and others pick up their ball and run with it! My fingers itch to say 'But I just said that!' Most threads stop dead with a post from me - so I apologise in advance lol Magsx |

Spose it happens to us all at some point, but l don't thinks its because people don't want to reply to you - like me they perhaps don't really want to reply to the particular thread and as the threads move so fast people often don't realise that subject has just been chatted about. This morning l replied to the Friends and Neighbours thread, gawd knows where it is now - we have all been wishing Gaynor good luck and Paul & Sharon, plus the village fingy - its just the way of the boards!! Don't be offended though:o( Just found it on page 2 - but so many messages have gone before it!! Jude sarf wales |

I've been a member on here for probably about a year and a half, and it's not that people don't want to answer your threads, it's just that everyday there are so many new topics going on, on here that your thread keeps getting push further back, if you want an answer to something don't let it disappear keep nudging your thread back up to the top, everybody else does it!! Where about's in paradise are you I might come and join you lol!! Alaina xx |

After due concideration and some very tempting job offers - the best and most tempting was working in the post office. I have to inform you one and all, and I say this with much regret that I have been offered a more varied position - and yes I can imagine all of your minds have now turned to smut honestly. I have been offered a position as the village doctors receptionist. Not only the gossip but personal ailments as well - Yes! Lin |

Hi Lin I understand where you are coming from as I posted on a thread on the records board the other day. It was someone offering lookups of 60 million current addresses. Loads of people were asking for a lookup but the person who started the thread didn't put any replies on. I asked if anyone had received a reply the other day and when I looked again today, there were lots more requests. Obviously no-one even read MY posting, just the original one! The originator has still not posted again so I put another one on today. No doubt that will be ignored too! So the moral is, don't get disheartened if you are ignored, it happens to us all. Glad everyone has cheered you up now. Lynne |

Paul - thanks for your message, actually with regards to your conversations I usually sit back and read together with a good chuckle, you certainly like to give the girls a wind-up. Alaine - Paradise is where you want to be, unfortunately I'm at work, where's your paradise? Lin |
