I had Grans and Granda's for Grandparents and most Great Grandparents except one.... My Granny's dad....he was my Grandpa!! I now call Granny, Gran and when my kids were little they called her Granny but now its just Gran, the youngest even calls her Gran because he hears all the others say it. My mum is Nannie to all of mine and my dad is Grandad. Mother in law is Nanna and father in law is Pop. My step dad is Papa but he has always been in their lives. Step mum only married Dad 5 year ago so doesnt get a title. I want to be Gran when its my turn... everyone says it sounds old but I like it... mum wanted Nannie coz she said she wasnt old enough to be a gran!! Shaz xx

I called my Dad's parents Grandma and Pop. I can't recall what I called my mother's parents her Mum died when I was two and her Dad died when I was about five but I think I called him granddad. My Mum's grandmother I remember calling Granny.

I remember using Grandma for my mom's mom, and Gran for dad's. My daughter made the difference by using little grandma, and big grandma, or used their surnames, I didn't fancy Grandma myself, our gorgeous girl is lucky enough to have three great-grans - one gran, one gamma, the other granny, all the men are grandad, she dubbed me Nanna, Bilal gets 'Dede' and she thinks we live in the computer! I am Granmum, hubby is Grandad. When our grandson was little, he looked at my parents in law and said 'More Grandad', so that's what they are referred to, 'More-Gran and More-Grandad' and my mother is Gran. My own grandmother was always Grandma.
