I wanted to watch it not necessarily because I am a royalist, but I love weddings, too, and wanted to see a church blessing, and wanted to see the guests, and it's certainly something that'll never happen again in my lifetime. :-) Joy |

I missed the wedding itself (can't believe I forgot) but watched the blessing. Me and my daughter couldn't get over how Camilla's face is virtually line free!! Daughter says I look older than her and I'm not quite 40!! She looked really lovely. Sue xx |

I thought it was a lovely wedding, everyone looked relaxed and happy, Camilla looked very nice, she was dead nervous at the blessing though, at one point she looked towards her family and looked as though she was going to have a giggling fit. Anne xx |

I had said I wasn't going to watch tv over the wedding, but how can I know what you are all talking about if I don't watch. So I did. I am not sorry. I thought Camilla looked very well. Her choice of dress on both occasions looked wonderful. The colour and style suited her age. What a pity that Charles hadn't married Camilla 33 years ago and then there would not have been so much misery. Cannot change all that, so let's get on with life so as it is. I thought Camilla could do with a new pair of national health dentures though. Anyone else think this? Sylvia xxx |

This is nice, I think. from the net: Princes William and Harry had decorated the Bentley which drove the couple away from the castle. The words 'Prince' and 'Duchess' were sprayed on either side of the windscreen and 'Just Married' written on the back windscreen. Bunches of red, white and yellow metallic balloons had been tied to the couple's car. |

I've just seen an interview with one of the guests, Melvyn Bragg, who said the Queen's speech began with 'you all want to know who won the Grand National' and then said of Charles and Camilla 'They've been through Becher's brook and the Chair and are now in the Winning enclosure'. This would indicate that she approves of the wedding, even if she can only think in terms of horses! nell |

It's just a pity this marriage came 30 odd years too late I'm certain they are very well matched . . . . if they had married all those years ago it would have saved the death of a lovey person. |

Brian I don't know how you work that one out. If Diana had been wearing a seat belt she'd still be alive. nell |

It's unfair to blame Diana's death on the fact that Charles and Camilla didn't marry all those years ago. No-one can predict or alter the future and any situation simply is what it is. As a 19-year-old I was married with tiny children when I met a 21-year-old who was also married with tiny children. We 'did the right thing' and got on with the lives that we had already created for ourselves to the best of our ability and it wasn't until nearly 30 years later that we finally made contact with one another again and were free to marry. After many years as a single parent, life for me is now is truly wonderful, and I really feel for Charles and Camilla who have been under the spotlight all this time. Sure enough, my husband and I were not actually in touch with one another for most of that 30 years so there wasn't the same scope for scandal, but that doesn't alter the fact that it took 30 years for us to be together. Even Royalty are just people, making the best of their lives that they can in circumstances that most of us would not realistically wish to trade for our own. I know I wouldn't like the world and his wife telling me how I should and shouldn't live my life and pointing out my every flaw. |

Helen - if Charles & Diana had been happily married, Diana wouldn't have been in Paris that night, let alone in a car without her seatbelt on. That's how I work it out. I don't think Charles and Diana should have married in the first place, they wern't well matched. I personally don't think Charles even loved Diana . . . . he even said, 'Whatever love means'. He was under pressure to marry and provide an heir to the throne. |

Anyone foolish enough not to wear a seat belt let alone in a car driving at high speed is putting their lives at risk, the words 'if only she was lalalalal' doesn't come into it. |

Rhonda, Charles was wearing a wedding ring, apparently its tradition for Royal bridegrooms to wear their wedding ring on their little finger, he was wearing his under his sovereign. |

I've never seen Prince Charles look happier. I think that he's finally got his soul mate so he has lots to smile about. Louise |

read an article earlier in the week that said he ahda problem with his hand so perhaps thats why he didn't have his ring on as they definitely exchanged rings 22ct Welsh gold thats what I read anyway. I think they looked very good together and very comfortable. He was obviously mindful of her nervousness adn like dit when she stroked his hand. Jayne |

Not wearing a seat belt is what caused Diana's death. She was spending an evening with a man she was supposedly in love with, not pining alone in a tower. Whatever the private miseries of her marriage, they were over when she died. Being happily married isn't an insurance against dying. People carry on as though Camilla had hired a hit man to assassinate Diana. In fact, if Diana had followed royal tradition, instead of getting divorced she would have put up with the other woman in Charles life. If we are modern enough to accept that she had a right to happiness with someone else, I don't see why the same standard doesn't apply to Charles and Camill |
