HI I would like to thank everyone for keeping me sane.I read all your threads everyday & it helps me get through the day as I have an invalid husband & I am his sole carer. My husband has had throat cancer & has a Trachy Which means that he can't talk very much as well as a lot of other medical to numerous to list he has now just been diagnosed with Macular Degeneration in his only good eye so his mood at the moment is not good at all (not that I can blame him) Without everyone here I would have gone crazy a long time ago so Thank you all Love Cilla From OZ. xxx Thank you everyone for your love & messages I am feeling a lot better now & have booked John into respite as soon as they have a bed for him. Love to all Cilla from Oz oxoxoxoxoxoxox

Thanks everyone it is nice to know that I have someone to talk to if things get to rough, it does get a bit lonely sometimes, as I get the blame for a lot of things but as they say they always hurt the one closest to them. Love Cilla.

Life must be tough for both of you. Is there anyone who would come in for a half day maybe twice a week, so you can get away and have a break? If it was regular, you could make plans for your free time and have something to look forward to. Your hubbie would also appreciate you when you got back! Invalids can get very selfish/introspective - from one who knows at the mo'! We all need a bit of fun....... Lily

Thanks again everyone Mr Cilla's name is John. We live in a small town & it is hard to get someone to come & stay with him as he doesn't think he needs to be babysat, typical man thinks he can do it himself exept he has falls & has osteo-perosis & frequently breaks bones last one was a pelvis & a few ribs. He is very stubborn. thanks for the hugs I needed them. Love Cilla.

Glenys the Menace! Report 20 Apr 2005 14:07

Yes Cilla, aren't men stubborn! Men on here, take note please! lol. Seriously, perhaps John should think less of 'babysitter' and more of 'assistant', as that's what a helper would be ......? John, consider yerself told off! (But hugs anyway). Glenys x

No relatives who would give you a break? Don't let John totally rule your life, if you weren't there, ask him where he would be! Food for thought....... Lily

Hi everyone I have just got up & turned the puter on & after reading all your messages I know that I can have a bit of a whinge now when things get tough. I am no one special as I am sure the you would all do the same if you were put in the same position although it can be tough at times. It is very tough on John as he was a truck driver & now he hasn't got a licence at all.His biggest problem is that he is in bed all the time & has to much time to think & if he wants anything done he wants it NOW.Oh well enough complaining hope to talk to you all soon,I won't bitch next time. Love to all Cilla xxx
