As I sit here at my desk struggling to motivate myself to look at yet another spreadsheet, I just wondered if other people were happy in their work? Jack x |

Some days it is OK but not what I would have chosen as a career, pay is lousy and I have to sleep with the boss - this is looked on as a perk! Ann! |

Rubbish answer but... Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I prefer it when I'm busy to when it's quiet. I prefer the technical side of the job to the admin/project side. |

Hi Jack - I used to be in I.T. and ended up (for various reasons) hating it, although I did enjoy the early years! I've had a few part-time jobs since I 'quit' which have been OK, but not exactly earth shattering. Would love to work for myself, am lucky in that I don't HAVE to work at the mo! |

I haven't worked full time for years but when I do go into work it's great- but no way would I cope with the paperwork if it was fulltime. I would do the same job if I had my time again, but not in today's times. |

I love my job, i am a Learning Disabillities Project Worker on a 24 hour rolling rota. It takes me 10 min to walk there,i get to go on lots of social trips and holidays with our clients, been there 6 years, pay is poor but for me job satisfaction is far more important. |

Apparantly hairdressing is the happiest job - don't think i'd be very good at it though. I'm currently sat in an office on my own and if it wasn't for the boards then I am sure I would have nodded off about an hour ago lol. It's not like I haven't any work to do it's just sooo boring! |

Bella, I think I am starting to believe that job satisfaction is the most important. Life's too short to be miserable for 8 hours a day! Jack x |

I'm a lucky cow because I'm working for myself (and the family business), it's interesting and I get to travel... plus when my dad and stepmum retire I will hopefully take over the running of Aegean Blue. I also work 3 nights a week in a pub and I love it! It's easy, the regulars are lovely, I get bought lots of drinks and get lots of male attention... I really am a lucky cow... becx |

Jack, You only get one shot at life so you need to grab the bull by the horns and take a chance!! I know life isn't always as easy as that but unless we go out and get want we want ourselves, no-one is going to do it for us. GOOD LUCK with whatever goals you choose in life!!!!! |

Jack, Same here, a lot of number crunching, devising spreadsheets and trying to sound intelligent whenever anyone starts asking questions concerning said numbers. Pretty tedious and repetitive. Having said all that, I'm being given more responsibility now and some of the crap is being passed to newer team members so hopefully it will get marginally better. I'm prepared to stick with it for now, whilst I sound out some other opportunities. Andy |

I hate my job. I have to arrange, attend and minute council meetings and it's all just SO boring... And the managers aren't the brightest buttons in the box. |

Gwyneth, absolutely no reason at all for me to stick with it. Only problem is I don't really know what I want to do, just that I want to work with people and I want my brain to be bursting cos I am so busy. I'm on the look out for inspiration! Jack x |

I worked as a telephone operator for BT in central London for 5 years after leaving school. ( pay very good). I hated the confinment of office based work, i used to feel physically sick entering the office doors every morning, left and went into the caring field and have never been happier. |
