Well he hasn't lost his sense of humour. Just asked Tom for his dirty washing (to which he gave me a dirty look) and then as he put his jeans in the washing machine, I reminded him to empty his pockets. 'Someone already did that for me Mum!' Daisy

UPDATE: They're home!! Judging by what they've told us, they were almost certainly 'targetted' and had their drinks spiked. Tom just has the clothes he's standing up in. The police and the British Consulate contact were staggeringly unhelpful to them. When they went to report the theft at the police station the policeman just said 'Baja Beach?' and shrugged his shoulders. The English woman from the BC said 'We're not open. Don't you know it's the weekend?' I'm furious. By the time I've finished on the phone tomorrow she'll be lucky to have her job! Ryanair and a desk clerk at the consulate were brilliant and Tom actually took a name and address so that he could write and thank them. Another brandy I think! Daisy

Daisy How ghastly! I had my handbag picked when I was 19 in London. It made me extra 'street-wise'. I am always telling my 13-year-old not to wave his mobile about, keep his money safe etc. nell

No June, no hangover. My limit is two drinks anyway! Seems to have got to me a bit this morning but I'll feel better once we've picked him up this afternoon. At least it's taken Ellie's mind off her SATs tomorrow! Daisy

Daisy, Thank God they are both safe, I too was robbed in Barcelona 2 years ago took kids to Aquarium zipped bag close to my side, stole my purse credit cards etc, when I reported it put stop on cards told to check bins in venue as this is regular occurence, police just told me to report at local police station 2hours drive away where we were staying, apparently Barcalona is known for it. Lets hope boys get home soon . suex

Daisy, So sorry to read of what happened to your son and his friend but glad they are safe. I sometimes kids are easier to look after when they are small - trouble seems to follow them around as they get older and I always worry about my lad even tho he does not live at home now. You must have felt so bad when Tom called you but lucky you knew how to cancel everything quickly. Take care.

Hi Evie Lovely to see you on the boards! A cruise - lucky you! You will love Barcelona. It has everything and I don't just mean all Tom's belongings! lol Hold your bag like a baby and don't sleep on the beach and you'll be fine! Daisy (a little more relaxed after a drink or two!)
