My son and his mate went off to Barcelona yesterday for the weekend and they've had everything stolen. They have 3 Euros between them. I've spent the whole day cancelling cards, phones, talking to the British Consulate, the airline and Stansted Immigration and it is now sorted. Would someone pour me a brandy please? Daisy UPDATE: They're home!!!

I'm sorry about that Daisy, I have been to Barcelona once, staying just of the Ramblas. I spent most of my time worrying about hubbys cameras. Now glad he has a small digital that he carries in his pocket, but attached to him. Unfortunately Barcelona is noted for pickpockets. Hope everything gets sorted. Ros

They are both ok but seriously p****d off! There was a mix up with their hotel booking last night so they decided to sleep on the beach! The only luggage they had was a backpack each and they zipped them tight and used them as pillows. When they woke up this morning the bags were empty and so were their pockets. They had enough loose change to get to the airport but flights home today are extortionate so they are coming back on the one they were booked on tomorrow and the British Consulate have given them documentation. They've found a hotel near the airport and I've sorted out a room and meals for them on the phone. I'm just glad they're both ok and it wasn't as a result of an assault. Daisy

Daisy, What a sad tale. It doesn't do much for your son's impression of Spain, does it? I hope they get home safely and the insurance pays up. love, Sue

Thanks Everyone you're very kind! Wendy, Tom was 17 last week and his mate is 19. This was Tom's birthday treat instead of having a party or going clubbing, because he loves Barcelona!! He was there a few weekends ago on a travel challenge for the Pink Fund, we all went last year and he'd been with the school three years ago. And this weekend was going to be so relaxing! lol Daisy
