Unfortunately have to compromise on most things here.... The cost of the brand names from England is huge.... But still get marmite whatever the price!!!!! Jacquie xxx |

The one thing I can't compromise on is cereal. Has to be Kelloggs. My mum buys own brand quite often, and when I visit her I have toast instead. Not sure about anything else. My brands change as my mood does. I used to love Tesco Value Cookies, until they changed the recipie, now I never buy them. I do find the Chinese meals from Tesco much nicer than those from Morrisons (where I do most of my shopping) so every now and then I take a trip out lol |

Before I went to Namibia I had to make sure they had Marmite there.Luckily we took a jar as,whilst they do have Marmite,it is not the same.Their beer is like lager so they must use different yeast, not the same at all. |

Interesting how Heinz crops up a lot! I don't like Heinz tomato ketchup, actually prefer supermarket brand, ditto baked beans (go for the reduced salt/sugar ones). |

Sharon Get mine in Sainsburys. altho My hubby often gets it for me in the Local tesco superstore where its cheaper by about 50p. He goes to Tescos After church on a Sunday to get me bread as we do our weekly shop on a wed & bread gone by Sunday. Shirley PS its the only powder that doesnt aggrivate my husbands skin. Used to use Persil till they mucked around with it many moons ago.& my husbands problems seemed to start from there. |
