Hi Guinevere See what you mean. Here's some of my energy tablets and herbal tea. You will be buzzing around and clear that backlog in no time. Ready ........ catch. Sorry, oooh, did that hurt? Just as well it wasn't the Baileys I lobbed at you. You could have broken the bottle! Ooh eh...... just popping off to watch the rest of Doc Martin. Will pop in later to see how you are feeling. xxxxxxx Put a cold compress on that dear and put your feet up. |

In answer to your question, Pat: ''Can you please explain to me WHY people feel they should be sitting at their computers deleting answers to other peoples threads?'' - no, I can't. :-) Joy |

I have just seen this thread and am feeling really bad now! Just this week I decided (as I was a bit bored) to read through all my 'your threads' and deleted a lot of them. I did this for several reasons, some (with hindsight) gave too much personal information, some were trivial/fun threads and others were no longer relevant (ie. past meets etc.) I also thought that this might help speed up the boards/my computer (I`m not really techno minded so don`t judge me on this one!) I was not trying to hide anything nasty as I hope I have never added anything that could be described as that, also I have to say that I am often reluctant to add to threads for fear of offending. If I am now to feel reluctant to delete replies or threads as well, I wonder if I dare come on this board again. Just lately there has been so much unpleasantness that it spoils the enjoyment that we have all had from the many amusing and interesting threads on here. I am sorry if by deleting my replies and threads I have upset people. I will be more careful in future about adding and deleting! Frances |

Frances I would hate for you to leave this thread feeling like that. I asked a question and got many replies differing to my own and some the same, no problem and no one (well I don't think they are) is offended upset or angry at anyone else deleting stuff. You have every right to do what you see fit with what you have added to these boards. This thread was not meant to upset or hurt anyone it was to find out what other people thought. I do not delete replies to others on a regular basis I may have deleted the odd thing but I don't bother on a regular basis I think GR should do it. Oh and I heard before us deleting stuff makes no difference to the speed of this site :-((( If it did I would leave nothing on here :-))) The unpleasantness has always been here reckon it will always be here it comes and goes just wish the nastiness would go for longer periods. Thanks Pat for your reply (and pm). I have not been put off joining in with all the fun on these boards, just a bit more wary now. I appreciate we all have different views on things, that is what makes it so interesting. I enjoy a good discussion and really enjoy reading the boards. Best wishes, Frances |
