I think if I was on a bus and the driver used his mobile phone I would feel I had to report him. If it cost him is job so be it. Jean x. |

I often see some quite dodgy driving from people , of both sexes, using mobile phones. However, I'm not convinced that it merited a specific offence all of its own. I also see people eating, drinking, reading, shaving, hair brushing and setting fire to leaves rolled up in paper and sticking it in their mouth whilst driving. |

A few months ago I saw a driver of a 16 wheeler actually with a map on the steering wheel, mobile phone in one hand and drinking from a can when driving round a roundabout and on to a small village street,Just wish the police had been there to see how dangerous this guys driving was. I just couldn't believe what I saw and of course he nearly came on the pavement because he wasn't concentrating on his driving. Sue |

I ride a tall motorbike - Eqan McGregor style Long Way Round. You would not believe the things I see looking into cars as I filter past. Mobile phones? Nah, nothing. 1 Try the guy with the laptop on his legs, mouse on the passenger seat. 2 Yellow pages open against the steering wheel. 3 Fold out map in use. 4 Sexual acts including...well only the driver's head visible through the windows. 5 One of the best a woman - no seat belt - changing a nappy, baby in her lap face down. I over took - just - at about 85 mph so she must have been doing 80-83 mph. Personally I would ban them immediately for at least 5 years and make them re-test annually. Nige - considerate biker (most of the time) |

Can someone guide me in the right direction please? Why is it those guy's and female's in Merc's, Prorche, BMW's etc, who paid or someone has paid, thousands for those cars but THEY CAN'T AFFORD A HANDS FREE KIT! I bought mine for £15, ok you have to plug it into the cigarette lighter, but what the hell! And diversing here sorry 'BABY ON BOARD' signs, does that mean 'I am watching the kids and not the traffic'! Kim |

If they are using their mobile phone whilst driving they should be banned. Texting or using the phone whilst stationary in a traffic jam should be allowed. Viv |

Glenys, Nigel is not jesting! Nearly every morning, an everyday traffic jam, there are 2 women and 1 guy I see, one of the women does her makeup and the other has her curling tongs in both looking in the mirror, but the guy shaves, and they are driving to work!! Why don't they get up earlier? |

Glenys Oh so serious. I commute across London - 35 miles - every day, Embankment, A4, M4. Loads of traffic but the things I see... The list goes on.Portable DVD being watched - nearly had me off the bike - must have been an exciting bit... A guy, er...'pleasuring' himself. Make that a small guy! Make-up of course including a drag queen!!! That was different. Seems the 'better' the car the worse the driver. People changing trousers/dresses etc. Twice a bra coming off. That wasn't so bad[ :-))) ] but she eventually saw me and swerved, hitting the curb and puncturing the tyre. Laugh? Needed a change of underwear! Phones, those text/email types - Blackberrys - radios of course but they are ok. Most people don't realise how tall some bikes are and how good a view. I find a friendly slap on the roof or window works. I'm vulnerable on a bike and they deserve all they get. Including a ban |

James and Morfydd I was on a bus last year when the driver used his mobile phone and drove one handed for approximately 2 miles. I reported him to the bus company and received a letter in return thanking me for doing so and informing me he had been severely reprimanded. Joy |

I think my daughter is one of the worst not only does she use the mobile, does not use a seat belt, always looking round at the kids in the back seat, I don't know how she passed the driving test, her first attempt failed because she went over a Zebra crossing when a person was on it. James |

Hi Just thought I would add comment here Glenys, you are so right that they are potential killers and only last week in Aus a 23 year old went to jail as he was driving his car with passengers in it and decided to read and delete a text message while driving. In doing so he had an accident which killed 2 of his passengers. He was remorseful and wanted to go on TV to try and push the point that it is dangerous to use a mobile while driving and it can happen to anyone, he now has to live with that for the rest of his life. So if you use a mobile while driving, thinking it will never hapopen to you. Think Again. It can |

I hate this - yes I have a mobile so I can let people know when I will be late etc but not usually for long chatty calls. I don't use it in the car unless I am able to pull over first. There are so many totally irresponsible people driving and using mobiles - they don't indicate and make me so angry. James, I am sorry to say this but God forbid, if anything happened to your daughter and especially her children because she is flouting the laws, would you or she expect sympathy? Even if she is your daughter, you should report her before she kills her children or someone else's family. Surely you can make her see sense - she is a danger to all and shouldn't be allowed to drive. |
