Keith Moon, the legendary drummer with the Who died far too young. So did many other really great musicians, including Kurt Cobain. Why? Are there any others that died too young do you think?

People who live at that speed and people who are on the genius/madman spectrum. I dont know, whats that saying, dont drink, dont smoke, dont have sex, dont go out and youll live to a hundred and then die of boredom.

They played a Who number this afternoon, but it was nothing without Keith Moon's special talent on the drums

Freddie Mercury. No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young) Written by Brian May A hand above the water An angel reaching for the sky Is it raining in Heaven - Do you want us to cry ? And everywhere the broken-hearted On every lonely avenue No-one could reach them No-one but you One by one Only the Good die young They're only flying to close to the sun And life goes on - Without you... Another tricky situation I get to drowning in the Blues And I find myself thinking Well - what would you do ? Yes! - it was such an operation Forever paying every due Hell, you made a sensation (sensation) You found a way through - and (You found a way through) One by one Only the Good die young They're only flying to close to the sun We'll remember - Forever... And now the party must be over I guess we'll never understand The sense of your leaving Was it the way it was planned ? And so we grace another table And raise our glasses one more time There's a face at the window And I ain't never, never saying goodbye... One by one Only the Good die young They're only flying to close to the sun Crying for nothing Crying for no-one No-one but you RIP Freddie. Never forgotten!! Fi

Is it that lots of musicians die young, or is it just that we are aware of it because they are famous? I mean people die in car/plane crashes or of drugs/booze overdoses every day. It's not new, either, or confined to the wacky world of rock and roll - Schubert, Mozart both died in their early 30s. We can only be grateful for the music they left us. Kathleen Ferrier died of cancer aged 41 Dinu Lipatti, brilliant pianist, died aged 33 of Hodgkins disease. RIP
