'Had an accident at work, on the road or in a public place?' Err yeah, sort of. Making a cup of tea in the Kitchen and little did I know Cook had left the iron to heat up next to the sink. Reaching for the kettle I branded my forearm. :-( I need that big bloke with the tache to get me some money! |

Cook should sue you for leaving burnt skin on her iron. Careless youth! |

Yuk!! The odour of singed hairs. Douse it with lavender oil and hold your nose Dan. Least you'll have a war wound to show off. |

James! No sympathy? :-) Thanks Rebs. I have just got a cold flannel wrapped around it as it's stinging quite a lot. I can see the damage even now. |

Yes, make him wear lavender oil and smell like a little old lady's knicker drawer. Then he might be more careful. |

I didn't think he'd be old enough to have hairs on his arms . As my mum would have said....'It's your own bloody fault. You should have been watching!' Trifley |

Daniel Is your kitchen 'at work, on the road, or in a public place'? I hope you were making Cook a cuppa too! One thing we have managed to teach my 14 and 12 year old sons is how to make a proper cup of tea. Oh, and they've never scalded or burned themselves. Possibly because we don't do ironing in this household! nell |

No hairs singed by the way. It's on the underside of my arm. Good thing it wasn't the palm then there would be hair loss. |

The Kitchen is a workplace yes. As a guest I should be looked after and kept away from such domestic dangers. Joy. Are you in roundabout way asking me to come visit? :-) |

Ah poor boy, he obviously did not see the ironing board as well. Is he qualified to use Kitchen Instuments? ie kettles, pans etc?? |

If the iron was on the board as stated in the unspoken household rules then I wouldn't be in the predicament I am in now :-( |
