Sad, sad indeed! I'm doing the Race for Life with my friend who lost her 38yr old sister to cancer last year. She left behind a husband and an 8 year old son. I don't think there is anyone who's life isn't touched by cancer in some way. My thoughts are with Ruth's family. I'm almost 33 myself and it doesn't bear thinking about :( Joanne |

It brings it all home to you how lucky we are.I have a daughter this age and grandchildren this age.I cant even think about it.Cancer goes after any age. My eldest daughters best friend back in her school days lost her mum to this and was almost living at my house as she never wanted to go home.My deepest thoughts with her family and friends Annie x |

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and I will most certainly pass them on. She was a remarkable person who did more in her 33 years than I have done in my 58. There is a lesson to be learned here....go for it....enjoy it....you only have one life - live it and live it to the full - today only happens once. |
