I think Rooney will be included... I just hope he doesn't play unless HE feels ready... any long-term damage could affect his future at United.

Bec Am i right in thinking it's only a preliminary list so he can change it at a later date? If that is the case he will def name Rooney with the option of changing his mind when he knows more xx

Bec why take him if he is unfit someone else should be given the chance.

Dawn - For the simple fact that even if he only plays 10 minutes... in those 10 minutes he can change the ethos of the team and the result of the game. In my opinion. Muffy - I am fairly sure this is it (depending on injuries?). He names 23 to take to Germany and 3 back-up players.

What sort of statement is it to all the other players in or out of the squad if the manager believes his only chance of winning is a young lad with a broken foot?

Bec Maybe he could but so could so many others. Probably will take him but hope he doesn't try and play just for the sake of it will do more harm than good not just to England but to his long term career as well.

Ken, this is only my opinion but I feel too much is put on a few players it takes a team to win not just a few who think they are better than everyone else. And what happened to the pride of playing for yur country if you see what they get nowdays is a disgrace. Will get off my soapbox now lol
