Sounds to me as though scouse is just irish stew (with or without the beetroot!) can you still eat scouse if you are from Birkenhead?

Tell you what we grew WHITE beetroot last year and have jars of it tastes like ordinary red but the colour puts you off - so if you want some just yell Norah ps anyway fancy eating beetroot with stew - never heard the like
