Does anyone know if cats have a menopause,* tempting to put menopaws*, our now eight year old has never been ' done', we inherited her from step-daughter...She is the size of a kitten ,I am fed up with her, every few weeks, we get the caterwauling and the rolling on the floor, can cope with that but not the spraying.....I have to lock her in the downstairs loo for a few days...The other two cats have been done and are no problem....Does it ever stop ??

Can I ask, why do you not get her 'done' if it is bothering you so much? Liz

Well if she's not had litters of kittens by now she's obviously infertile Polly! I had so many little queens who only had their had in a tin of salmon at the time....................... Get her 'done' and you can all have a good night's sleep!

Hi I have always had tom cats till now, she has been 'done' Why not phone the vet and ask, might be worth getting her 'done' if it's not too late. I dont really know. Marion

OH has a soft spot for her and doesn't want her to be in pain!! She has never grown beyond kitten size,,,,and he would kill me if I took her....

They are indoor cats so no contact with other cats....The nearest vet is an hour away....OH , would never speak to me if I had her done.....Have removed all catnip toys as they make her worse, was wondering if there was anything I could give her....

Well a bit like the hairdye then What the eye don't see the heart don't grieve! You can get her fixed up and ready between 9.a.m. and 5.30.!!!! He'll never know!

LOL I think he might notice the shaved part and stitches Cherry! Don't know how long it lasts but surely a couple of hours of pain is better for her than going through this every couple of months? Julie xxx

you could ask the vet about putting her on tablets / injections to stop her seasons we used to give them to one our dogs who was too small for anaesthetic, but was struggling with her seasons, did the trick for her. you won't get away with having her done secretly, they shave their sides, lol !!!!!

Thats what I think, Little Jewels but OH says no....She is a bad -tempered little minx as well....Struts around like she owns us all, only has to flutter her tail at OH......He won't even look at her when she is being bad...I have to deal with her then...
