Don't forget that these mattresses are deeper than your usual ones and the toppers will have the same effect so your ordinary sheets may not fit as well. Also do use a mattress protector and remove it when you change the bedlinen and let the mattress air before remaking the bed. I wash the mattress cover frequently and air it in between times, while the mattress is airing. I think the smell is formaldehyde? and a lot of the toxins we take in now are from protective sprays etc on new furnishings. Take a look at a site about it, there are several I have read about, new carpets with Stainresistant stuff on etc etc. Liz |
