my mum adored Elizabeth Taylor and I could never understand why ... possibly because she (my mum, that is) was a wallflower and lacked confidence, in her youth :-)

She did have lovely eyes. And I would have loved to own La Peregrina because of its historical associations, but on a very simple chain.
