Newby throwing toys out of his pram isnt John's style he was quiet cheerful on his leaving thread which he had the decency to remove before he went, he hasnt left I dont think I am sure his acc is still there, his exits was very calm no annouce and flounce from this do you remember them ;-)

We used to have expert attention seekers on here.......there was a definite.predictability in the pattern of their behaviour, but it was oddly entertaining for the most part.

Like Ann, Wendy and Lynd , I also don't think that John was attention seeking. There are many of us that can see what's happening on the boards, so it isn't surprising that people leave.

I hope that John will only take a break and will come back, as he did contribute a lot to the boards with some interesting posts.

I didn't see John's leaving thread, but had seen what was happening on the boards so wasn't surprised. I did pm John and his reply confirmed what I had suspected.
I hope he comes back, and I agree with Ann and don't think he was attention seeking.

I actually don't think he was attention seeking, I think he was so frustrated that he just had to say why he was leaving. But I hope it is only a break, we don't need to lose the people who keep the boards moving and he put up some interesting posts.

I think when people leave for genuine reasons, can't get any further with their tree, haven't got the time, better things to do with their money etc it's nice to say goodbye on a thread. When someone feels that they don't want to put up with bullying or abuse on here and that the only answer is to leave then that is sad and not right. Maybe they feel the need to say this is why they are leaving so that people know why they are no longer on the boards. I personally don't think its attention seeking.

Whatever Johns reason for leaving I hope he comes back. With all threads/posts all members have the choice of reading them or ignoring them.

Awwww Tania the good old days eh............ ;-) I remember years ago abig whoo'errr about a member leaving because of the constant rows and upsets and and and........... but failed to remember that a couple of mths previously they announced they were going on a holiday ( a real one ) about the time the " Im leaving thread went up and low and behold a week later they were back. :-0


BC my darling the things I have seen on here for attention........the all time bestest ( for me) was when a member annouced they were leaving as they were starting Uni the very next week..........It was August ;-)

I think iit's sad John felt he had to leave, he obviously had his reasons. I hope he comes back soon.

Like most folk who put up I'm Leaving threads, John is simply looking for attention and affection and pleas that he stays. Well hse' got that, so it's ok \John you may now come back and we will make a Big Fuss of you. Mwah! :-D <3

John I imagine will be like everyone else who dramatically leaves these boards with the obligatory I'm leaving thread(and there have been a fair few over the years)

In case folk hadn't noticed those who do leave these boards for good generally do it without much fanfare
Everybody else is usually back before the week is up
In fact in many cases before the weekend is up
And for some before the sun is up
So that said I will grab a spot of lunch

he sure does :-D

I'm sure he will be back soon too!

With only 8 posts to go to 2000 on his 'Christian' thread he deserves to be here to take his bows! ;-)
