I put Olbas oil on my wheelie bins to stop the cats spraying near them. Works a treat.

Water does not work if you have a cat like mine she lays in the shallow edge of the pond like a tiger cooling off :-D :-D :-D. Likes to get in the sink too if she gets the chance

The one that works is netting. I have two cats and do not want them ( or OP's) mucking up the veg plot etc. My grandfather was using chick wire back in the 1920s...

The trouble with noise systems is that they MUST NOT be set at an audio range which bothers babies and young people including the house next door etc. Directed sound systems which comply with this tend not to bother cats overmuch.

Now you know why so many people have cats, if you can't beat them .....

I though the plant to deter cats was catnip, also called catmint , but having googled it, apparently cats love it! Must tell my son, he has planted it to try to keep his cats out of his vegetable patch.

You could try planting garlic - wild garlic does have quite attractive flowers so wouldn't look too out of place at the front of the house - it does smell a bit though. Our dogs come back from the woods stinking of it but as we have so much growing wild around here, we don't really notice it any more.

As a dog owner, I get quite angry about cats - we have to clean up after our dogs and can be fined if we don't and if we let our dogs roam the way cats do, we would soon be in trouble. Maybe we need laws about controlling cats. All cats to be allowed out only on a lead - it would make walking our dogs so much more pleasurable if they weren't continually being taunted by cats.

As someone has mentioned previously, cats will bury their poo.

Ours uses our garden and others.

But we do have foxes, who do not go in our garden, but you often see their poo on the street.

So unless you actually catch the cat in action, I would say it was foxes....

Get one of those powerful Water Pistols (Keep it full and handy) it does the trick during the day,but most problems occur at night when people put them out. Mine stays in and uses a Litter tray.**M**.

Tried most and they didn't work.

Have 2 cats that go out and won't come in other than to use the litter tray and be fed.

One had kittens 5 weeks ago. The father some times pops in for a look !!

Little worse than a hand full of cat poo when you are weeding the borders. I wish they wouldn't bury it.

Cocoa shells, you can get them online. They smell like choccy, they do your garden good and cats HATE them.

I've used them before and it worked so well......no cat poo and no cats returned as they found some poor neighbours garden to poo on

I think you have to keep dogs away from them though

Citrus scattered around should work or try spraying a diluted (by not much) vinegar around your borders. It did work for me for awhile but not long enough.
