There are quite a few in the country now I believe Bob, more than one in Gloucestershire. Big sign says 'shared space' with a picture of a car, a motor bike and a pedestrian. And a 20MPH sign. If it is safe to do so you stop to let pedestrians across. But usually you see when you need to stop because we pedestrians tend to get into a bunch and all move together :-) It would not affect the Sat Nav except if not updated it would have the wrong speed limit.

Ah Merlot :-D :-D :-D I thought you meant theyw ere the one who jumped the lights. I didn't look closely but OH said that one was a BMW.
