Afternoon folks :-) well apart from lawn under water and it seeping in through the garage the house thank goodness hasn't been affected. But lots of other poor souls in houses are flooded out.

On BBC news page it shows our local school down the road is a complete mess & the car park is a huge lake.

My sympathies go to folk who are badly afffected and I know Warwickshire have been hit Island.

Of course children think it's great and in some places have been swimming and canoeing....silly billies :-| don't think I'd go swimming in it :-S

I was in Newcastle last weekend.Fri-Mon.Had it been today we would never have got there. No trains due to landslide.
We did see some heavy rain while there.
some summer we are all 'not' having.

North Warwickshire has flooding too - and I imagine several other places - but they are not hitting the headlines because they don't have the same added drama. The impact on those affected is the same though.

Is this crazy weather ever going to settle?

I meant to say we saw horrific pictures of the Tyne bridge last night. Hope you are all ok up there.

It rained overnight here but now it is a fresh, breezy sunny morning, much better than the humidity of yesterday.

Serious flooding in lots of our local areas, with cars submerged and roundabouts under water.

YTube has terrific but scary footage of lightning striking the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle.

We've had sunny spells at times and also overcast and humid. Has looked like it was going to rain a few times but nothing came of it here in Bedfordshire
