LOL Julia. when my grandparents were alive,they only had IZAL in the bathroom as grandad said it was most hygienic.However after he passed away, the next time i went to visit grandmas bathroom,the IZAL had been replaced with luxury toilet tissue!

I bet your cold where you are, arn't you.
It was only late in life that my parents had luxery toilet roll. No wonder they both suffered from piles. LOLOL

I can smell Izal just thinking about it. You were posh to have that. I remember when I started teaching umpteen years ago we used Izal as tracing paper.

What a wonderful board this is! From snow to Izal in one page.

5 Degrees. Southerners shiver uncontrollably. Geordies Sunbathe.

3 Degrees. Southern cars will not start. Geordies drive with their windows down

2 Degrees. Southerners wear coats, gloves, and wool hats. Geordies throw a t-shirt on (Girls start wearing mini-skirts)

1 Degrees. Southerners begin to Evacuate. Geordies go swimming in the North Sea.

Zero degrees. Southern landlords turn up the heat. Geordies have the last barbecue before it gets cold.

Minus 10 Degrees. Southerners cease to exist. Geordies throw on a lightweight jacket.

Minus 80 Degrees. Polar bears wonder if it's worth it. Geordie Boy scouts start wearing long trousers.

Minus 100 Degrees. Santa Claus abandons the North Pole. Geordies put on their long johns.

Minus 173 Degrees. Alcohol freezes. Geordies become frustrated because the pubs are shut.

Minus 297 Degrees. Microbiological life starts to disappear. The cows on Newcastle town moor complain of vets with cold hands.

Minus 460 Degrees. All atomic motion stops. Geordies start to stamp their feet and blow on their hands.

Minus 500 Degrees. Hell freezes over. Newcastle win a trophy

Very good Eldrick, I like it. Only here in Derbyshire, we are geographically classed as the Midlands, and we have a Mountain Rescue Team. Long, long way from Watford Gap LOLOL

Nice one Eldrick lol, but fancy you not having an inside loo, we're posh up here in Scotland, we've got three!! (not so good for me as I've gotta clean them)!!

Weather here is baltic, hasn't got above freezing all day, was -4 this morning, heating on all night again tonight.

Julia, unfortunately my avatar of those 3 lovely little dogs are not actually mine. i have to say i borrowed that picture from somewhere on the net when my daughter was doing a project on dogs. they looked so cute, just couldnt resist! so sorry no info to give i'm afraid.
yes its baltic up here and our friend the wind is back after a fews days grace.when its calm ,you do sort of miss it but then again the drone drives you mad,like a hoover then wont switch off!
no snow yet but today the sky looked full of it so i think by wed it may come this way.

shelley rose, where abouts in scotland are you? very north or south?

wish there were more of us up this way so we could have a meet!

No, its just one of the poorly puppies i'm nursing back to health before releasing it back into the wild. It's been so cold i let them sleep inside the kennel last night.
