Phyll, I heard reports on Radio Sussex of chimneys falling down and I've been sitting at my computer in one of our loft rooms feeling rather apprehensive, as the chimney is just above me! Lots of reports of fallen trees in Sussex too.

Just gone from Eastbourne to Newhaven and 2 fire engines were at a house on A259. Looks as if a chimney had gone through.
Bits of branches but no trees on the road.

Hope all of you and your families are safe.

Hey, listen, Island, stoppit! I'm trying to get all me decs down and now you tempt me with this little toy.

The twiddly bits you refer to are possibly the purple graffiti that was sprayed on our white wall one night over Christmas :-| :-| :-|

Mummo, please, it was said very much tongue in cheek, and not to be taken seriously at all.
Just to cheer you up, let me tell you a funny little story, which is perfectly true.
Some years ago, the sister's OH, ( and she is driving from Portsmouth to Hull tomorrow), was driving to the crematorium to conduct the service for our Gran (Our Nellie) . He was pulled up by two policemen, who asked him why he was speeding, and he explained he was on the way to the crem. They did not believe him and issued a speeding fine of £25, as it was in those days.
He was dressed in his full best C of E outfit, and they still didn't believe him.
Of course, the family still laugh at this, to this day.

I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Snooping on your google mobile, Island? What you on about now - you're being rather abstruse to-day, dear. Or perhaps I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer :-S
