. . . . . here in Sussex. Reports on local radio of roofs being blown off, so I'm wearing me tin hat, just in case. :-\

Morning Wend, it is the same here in Derbyshire. Keep expecting tosee me conservatory roof cavorting down the street.

Here in South West Scotland we were woken at 7.30 this morning by an iron roof blowing off a shed on the opposite side of the lane. We have a red warning at the moment and reports are coming in of trees down, sheds and conservatories blowing down and people are being warned not to travel unless essential.

Has anyone seen my shed? :-D

Really bad during the night here in North Wales. Strong gusts and heavy downpours. Woke me up and believe me, that takes some doing :-0.

Calmed down a lot now but still quite gusty

in Midlands and woke me up in night windy and raining. Daughter had to go to college today had to warn her to be careful as a 40 minute drive.


Next door have a gazebo up all year round and whoops its now in the tennis courts behind our houses lol.

Plenty of rain with it too but didn't last long :-D

For about an hour around 10am if was a real gale here and lashing horizontal rain but the sun is shining at the moment and it has calmed right down.

Sun shining now but still blowing .

Hubby happy as greenhouse still standing but Naths friends fence is down so his chickens will be in the allotment if they arent careful and round the corner came round earlier wanting to borrow wheelbarrow as their fence was down.


Poor rabbits have one side each of their hutches that are soaked where rain as gone though the frill at front had to dry out the food bowl that was that side as got a bit wet.


At least not as bad as hurricane in 87 when were down in Hastings mind you that didnt wake me up this lot did

Like Wend says, its blowing a gale here in Sussex, my shed is over, only a small one with hens bits and pieces in, the back garden is flooded, next doors panelled fence is hanging over and the top trellis has blown right off. It hasn't stopped raining since last night. I am so fed up with it.

Poor you Dolly. The wind here has calmed down a bit now, it's stopped raining and the sky is a bit brighter. Nothing seems to have blown over or come down in my garden. I can't believe I spent an hour or so out there yesterday - it was so pleasant and sunny and I was very tempted to do a bit of tidying up, but had heard the forecast, so knew there was no point. I also took this photo of blossom on a branch of my winter-flowering cherry tree. All my hydrangeas are still in flower - never seen that in January!

Hope it baits for you soon Dolly. but just think, worse things happen at see. In fact you could be at sea.
At least we havn't got T&L with it. I hate that with a passions. See, I can't say the full words. Sends me abit demented, and then sends me to the bottle.

PS. Wend I have a minature rose in a tub outside, and it is full of little pink flowers. In fact, I'd say, it has more flowers on now than it did in the summer.

Winds are very bad here now in Liverpool.......Mr. Robin has no bird table anymore its broke in two :-(

Now Julia - I believe you said you were going to put up an avatar in the new year. Well, I think the time has come! How about a photo of your miniature rose? We'll all talk you through what to do, if you need help :-D

Joan, according to the weather reports, Scotland are getting it far worse than we are. Hope it calms down soon for you all up there.

Sun here is so bright now - I've had to pull my blind down to be able to see what I'm typing.

Yes its wet and windy is Sussex and the Channel is really rough,Makes me wonder if Wend has been overdoing it a tad on the Curried Beans. :-S :-D :-D
