I don't have a basket, I don't see the point, the clothes simply get moved upstairs, onto bed, then (sometimes) into drawers. If not then they're worn before they make it into drawers lol :-D :-D

Were any of my threads RRed? I missed it as I was in bed asleep.

I cant remember the last time I used my iron. It sits in the cupboard totally unloved.

Huia.

No I don't think any of your posts were Huia. At least not while I was awake.

RR, do you find this obituary a good example of irony. It is definitely sarcasm but perhaps is a little too much to the point to be irony.

My mother always said that sarcasm was the lowest form of wit. I disagree with her. However you do need to use sarcasm, and of course irony, on someone intelligent enough to understand. If the eyes light up and a quick grin flashes across the face you know you have succeeded.

Obituary - Someone Else......

We were saddened to learn this week of the death of one of our most valued members, Someone Else. Someone's passing creates a vacancy that will be difficult to fill. Else has been with us for many years and for everyone of those years, Someone did far more than a normal person's share of the work.

Whenever there was a job to do, a class to teach, or a meeting to attend, one name was on everyone's list, "Let Someone Else do it." Whenever leadership was mentioned, this wonderful person was looked to for inspiration as well as results; "Someone Else can work with that group." It was common knowledge that Someone Else was among the most liberal givers in our association. When ever there was a financial need, everyone just assumed Someone Else would make up the difference.

Someone Else was a wonderful person; sometimes appearing
super human. Were the truth known, everybody expected too much of Someone Else. Now Someone Else is gone! We wonder what we are going to do.

Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but who is going to follow it? Who is going to do the things Someone Else did? When you are asked to help this year, remember - we can't depend on Someone Else anymore.

Did he leave his round tuit?

If not you really must get one from somewhere.

Very clever Sharron. We used to have a round tuit hanging on the office walk. Literally. It was a ceramic plate with the word "tuit" repeatedly printed around the circumference.

Yeh, that's where I got the idea too. Somebody is clever but I don't think it is me.
