if the guy shot in croydon had a gun but it hadnt been fired.........where do you think the bullet that appeared in the policemans radio came from?

How mean or perhaps they do not have the ability to understand what you were doing, could the person who reported you have sent you a message.

I like this thread and I also used to be able to speak a little and read a little Latin, all due to a Catholic father and a Catholic education.

Rather Ironic is,nt it,It came from a Police Heckler and Koch. One thing that bothers me is they are reportedly using "Hollowpoint Bullets" to me Thats a "DumDum" and they were outlawed many years ago.**M**. :-S

To me the whole point of your thread Rose was that we were trying to show how it was generalizing and not literal. Mine was not deleted so I can demonstrate.

I said All silver surfers are clueless. Well I am one and I know they are not, but somebody who is not a silver surfer and also not literate might well come up with the phrase because they know at least two Older people who are actually clueless regarding IT. ( the irony being that the remainder are not!).

And presumable GR took the thread literally as well. And here I was thinking with the new regime that communication had improved.

Ann, I did request a personal reply from GR after the posts were reported last night making sure they knew the intent and tone of the thread (as described by you here). But I have not received a reply as yet. Evidently whoever read the thread and removed it did not recognise irony either.

Bobtanian....first it was Tottenham, not Croydon, Second, the bullet found in the policeman's radio was one of their own, alleged to have gone through the boy's arm and lodged in the radio of a nearby policeman. The boy was allegedly hit by two bullets, one of which killed him. Reports are that his gun was not fired, but was allegedly pointed at police in a threatening manner, prompting the alleged shooting.

(quoting reports of which no official word has come out as IPCC inquiry still ongoing, and which may change as time goes on, but that's my understanding of it)

Second point, what's that got to do with this thread?
