Thanks Rose, I hope I get it too :-)

No idea where the Geldart came from. She married my grandad at 19yrs old and had my father the following year. She was still a Hill when she went to Canada on the Aquitania in 1946. When I tried to work out the year she came back, there appeared to be quite a few Geldart's coming in, so maybe that's where she picked up the idea for the name. She changed it by deed poll. Then she married again in 1950.
