Why I ask is that I am getting old lol, and I see myself going even greyer by the day, my son getting taller than me, the body...well don't even go there!

But it came as a shock to see Prince Andrew on tv yesterday , he has aged since I last saw him lol, just as it is when you see pop stars from the 70s, or film stars that were 'sex symbols' in their youth ...I even saw Johnny Depp described as "an ageing sex symbol" the other day!

I sort of expect everyone else to be paused in time, while it's just me getting older lol.

Funny you should ask this Rose......because just lately, i find myself checking out everyones wrinkles!! Especially my friends and people who i know. Whether its just because we are all getting older that i am noticing, or.......i am judging their's compared to mine!!! :>))

May I join in ladies? As your talk is about wrinkles and getting old. I have been on facebook and I am shocked at old friends and family that I have not seen for ages. We are all getting old but some manage it better than others!

Yes Rose I thought the same when I saw Prince Andrew on tv. I have noticed it in myself lately to. And my youngest daughter who is 23 and disabled is either still growing or I am shrinking, because I have to stand on tip toe to brush her hair lol x

Rose, I am constantly shocked when I meet up with old friends ,noticing the wrinkles ,jowls and other signs of the passing years. What I totally ignore is the old person who looks out from my mirror each day. An imposter!. lol BC XX

I am pleased to say that I have not noticed myself getting any older.

But I have got a picture of me stashed away in the loft that seems to seriously age every time I look at it !

~~~~ to all
I think the really awful thing is seeing that reflection in the mirror, BC lol, as you say an imposter! Because I don't think 'old'. well at least I didn't until the last couple of years, they have aged me rather! Before that I felt about 35 at most.
Hi Rose and ~~~~to All
Have you ever been guilty of looking at others the same age and thinking surely I don't look that old?.............well you'll love this.....;o)
My name is Alice Smith and I was sitting in the dentist's waiting room for my first appointment with the new dentist. I noticed his dental diploma on the wall,which bore his full name.
Suddenly I remembered a tall,dark haired handsome boy who had been in my secondary school class some 30 odd years ago.
Could he be the same guy that I had a crush on way back then.
Upon seeing him however I quickly discarded any such thought.
This balding,grey haired man with the deeply lined face was far too old to have been my class-mate.
After he examined my teeth I asked him if he had attended Morgan Park secondary school.....”yes yes I did” he said with pride.
“When did you leave to go to college” I asked
He answered “in 1965,why do you ask?”
“You were in my class” I exclaimed
He looked at me closely
and then that
ugly
old
bald
wrinkled
fat a***d
grey haired
decrepit
b****r asked.........
“What did you teach?”
I took a photo of my gran to the local photoshop last week to get a copy done. The young lad asked who she was & I explained it was my gran. He then asked if she was still alive. I´m 65!!!
Perhaps I don´t look as bad as I think.
Too right Foggy, it's better than the alternative. Also my policy it never look in the mirror with my glasses on, just view in soft focus, a bonus of failing eye sight. lol
