Foggy you sound like a real gent , just like my hubby very hard to rile, but stand back if he is annoyed (which takes a lot)

Myself am similar am very easy going and hate confrontation .But am no doormat and will stand up to anyone ,in work (management if needs be ) or anywhere.
Have a few pet hates and weakness which set me off, then I blow!

My friends girlfriend died many yrs ago when the pipe from an uncovered lorry she was behind , came off went thro her windscreen and her ...killed her outright.
Lately we have had the same scrap merchant travelling our street with a very unstable dangerous load , uncovered on his van. I confronted him and had a load of abuse, I expected a brick thro my car or house window. Today he did the same and I saw red! Anything could have fallen off that van an injured a child or adult. So I took his number and phoned the police, they had already had a number of complaints about him and said they were looking into it. I suppose they have to stop him when his van is overloaded !!
Just wait til next time I will tell them where he is .

evening everyone, well i used to be a doormat until i was about 25. then i grew up, stood up for myself and dont suffer fools gladly anymore. i like justice and fair play and will stand by anyone being mistreated.

i am generally a tolerant person but cant abide bad manners, or children who swear at their parents and get away with it.there is no excuse for that.

i also have a lot of patience, but if pushed just that little bit too near to the edge, then i will erupt and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned as they say.

every now and then i will have a moan to our household about the mess in the kids bedrooms and why should i be the only one to clear up and when i go off on one they all run for cover. but a few hours later amazingly we have tidy rooms !!!so they all know when i mean businesss. my oh says i have a certain look when im on the warpath and dont need to say anything. anyone else have a special look when their cage has been rattled???
