Mel Fairy Godmother Report 14 Oct 2010 08:56

Morning,

Not a good one here as it's dull and cloudy and quite cold.

You lot sounded like the Waltons saying goodnight yesterday.

CatieI

CatieI Report 14 Oct 2010 09:31

Morning Mel and Everyone,

That's just what I thought Mel. All we need now is a 'John Boy' to join us lol
Hope your mum had a better night and you did too.

Jane and Fiona.... What interesting stories....

I will be sending BIL with Mark, when the time comes Jane. See how brave he is then lol

BIL is at the doc's as a blood test has revealed a problem. I took the girls to school and as I was walking home, a guy shouted '' Hiya yummy mummy'. I realised the comment was aimed at me and decided to ignore it. Then he shouted ''yummy mummy, aint ya talking to me'. I walked on. Then he crossed the road and said 'just want to tell ya, what a cool dude you are'. Then he just walked off laughing. This guy was 50+ and dressed in a really odd way. Goodness me..... Where did he escape from lol I didn't feel threatened at all, just couldn't make sense of what was going on with that man. Very strange.

Well, better make tracks. I'm still having trouble with the emails Ann. How about you?

Annx

Annx Report 14 Oct 2010 09:55

Morning All,

Very overcast here at the moment. That's good that BIL will be taking Mark for his jab Catie, he will be able to give Mark a cuddle if he gets upset about it. What a strange man that was shouting to you......maybe not quite appropriate in his behaviour, but it is one of the drawbacks when you are young and attractive! My e-mails are ok Catie, except I can't email Shirl.

OH wants to start the other side of the garden now....needs guidance he says!! lol Then I'm off to the talk at the Records Office about the Poor Law. The Record Office I'm going to was shown on the Kibworth programme last night.

Hope you got a good nights sleep Mel.

Fiona

Fiona Report 14 Oct 2010 10:28

Morning all

How's your mum Mel hope she didn't wander again last night and hurt herself.

Catie . weired man, in his fifties did you say he must have thought him self a bit of a charmer chatting up young woman, maybe he was trying to prove to himself he still could chat up the opposite sex. lol

lots of gray clouds this morning floating around.

Frank

Frank Report 14 Oct 2010 11:37

MORNING. even though it's still quite dark.!!!! Don't think we will see the sun round here today.

Catie, These older chaps like to think that you young Mums on the school run, are fair game to be chatted up. there are some werdos around. Have you got a panic alarm. Not a bad thing to have in your pocket, you never know.

Got the photo's. Thanks girls. I must learn how to transfer photo's from camera to pooter. then I can join in.!!!!

Off for Shower and Shave, then I might take Ros out for a bit of Lunch. or should I say get her to take me.!!!

CatieI

CatieI Report 14 Oct 2010 12:29

A Panic Alarm is a good idea Frank. I know my mum has one. That chap this morning was really odd. He was wearing Rupert the Bear's trousers lol

Well, I'm now into my inbox.... But still very slow. Thank you to everyone that has sent me emails and pics.
Maureen... Loved your recent ones of Alfie. He has really come on well with the love and care you have given him.
Jane... The pics of those trees were interesting. Gosh I wouldn't know where to begin in cutting trees into shape.... There would be nothing left by the time I had finished lol
Ann... What an amazing picture of the stag and what a magnificent pair of antlers.
Fiona... Those pics really show autumn is upon you. What lovely colours. We are a little behind you here... The trees are just starting to turn.

Catie my e mail is ok now everyones e mail addresses are back on
Love the Rubert Bear trouser story .I told you last night I was going to be on here but my computor friend turned up and was here with me until 2am chatting and working away. He said someone was trying to get me to buy a package for protection and kept sending me rude pictures to get me to purchase theres and when I say rude they were disgusting and I already have protection on my computor in case of viruses

The students next door put two mattresses outside and someone set fire to them today the smoke was choking us this morning the fire brigade came and the police mattresses were burning and all the rubbish they have left again which last time we cleaned up was back burning also.
Children were going to school and they were choking on the smoke poor little loves one little boy was crying and I had to go in the shop and give his mother a bottle of water
for him.

How cold it is here today I went to Bourton on the Water yesterday with Beryl what a pretty place that is . All water and little bridges and lovely gardens beautiful it was and the weather was so warm here yesterday apart from a coldish breeze at times.

Beryl thinks petrol is £1 18 per gallon not litre and made such a fuss when I asked for some petrol money. Donnie was so sweet about Matt he gave me a hug I said when are you two getting married. Donnie said I would like to get married tomorrow and Beryl said over my dead body.
Donnie said if you get any thinner you silly moo it will be over your dead body.I have to have a little giggle. I just cannot see it lasting if they married.
I saw my brother yesterday in his austin eight car bright red will send a picture all that money he spends on that car
he could do anything his wife moans but he loves it. anyway we were going along behind him and two motor cycles were passing him and they were shouting get your self a decent car mate my brother was making rude signs which made me laught he tries to make out he is so prim and he did not see me. I turned off because my socks were coming off and my brother had disapeared when I got back on the main road. I will pull his leg when I see him.

Sorry Shirl you had two messages from me am and pm now your son seems better I wont send anymore I was worried after what happened to Matt. I have one friend e mails me at 4am she cannot sleep and I forget tap away sometimes because I am so busy all day.But anyway docs given me some mild sleeping tablets Matts still on my mind at night I get tearful thinking about him.

Mel sorry about your mum and her fall just like my mom
someone was always ringing me up saying mum had fallen

I found a lovely garnett and pearl necklace I had purchased from the shop you mentioned Fiona I had forgotton I had it so wearing it today.

My mate sent me a Gilda book on the Eastend today love the way she describes everything can see what people see in her writing. It must be fairly old this one a few pages were loose Maybe the first. I am also reading Bel Mooney
about small dog a enchanting heartbreaking book says Joanna Lumley can say that again done nothing but shed tears since I started it.
Catie there is a very pretty mum goes round to the school when I walk Jasper and she gets all kinds of wolf whistles
she shouts back at them but cannot mention it on here.

Well off to brave the outside hope the smokes cleared
I have to take Jasper out he just wet up the chair and I kicked his butt and he turned round and held onto my
shoe with my foot in it.

My daughters got a case today in Grey Street Newcastle does someone live in Newcastle or did I amagine that.

Sorry this is long just trying to see if those pics pop up but not today. I loved Fiona and Janes ghostie stories

Rupert Bear trousers Catie........that is a bit much...........mind you I confess I still have a Rupert Bear SCARF! Everyone at work (in the 80s) knew I wanted one, so someone got one for me in the Christmas bran tub. I still have it and yes, sometimes wear it with my black jacket!!! lol Never wanted matching trousers though!!

Fiona, the trees do look pretty in their orange leaves.......we only have fir trees to look at.

The talk today was good. Just imagine, paupers in the workhouse having to have a capital 'P' on their clothes!!!! I will send you a copy of the handout Maureen.

Maureen

Maureen Report 14 Oct 2010 14:39

I loved the spooky stories too. out loud I say what a load of rubbish but inside I'm thinking ...... you never know ....... I guess you have to experience it.

Nice to get wolf whistles, but don't think getting accosted by a 50 something dressed like Rupert the Bear is much fun. When I was in my teens, I was walking to work and a young guy came up and asked would I go out with him. I said no, I already had a boyfriend ....besides he wasn't very good looking ....lol...... and I was getting on a train once and a guy asked if I would do some modelling .....I didn't even answer him .... These days if I heard a wolf whistle I wouldn't even bother to look, I know it wouldn't be for me .... lol

The cross trainer has arrived and I have all the bits and parts spread across my bed, I really thought I could assemble it, not so sure now, might have to wait for son.

Sheila, it all takes time, so they say, getting over the death of a loved one. It's natural Matt will be in your thoughts. I think about my mum everyday, some small thing will remind me of her and how much I miss her.

Brrrr! I feel chilly.I even had to turn the heating on early.I am tires too,and I think you always feel cold if you are tired. My nights are awful.I find I wake up after about an hour !! look at the clock ,go back to sleep but then it happens almost each hour.I have bags!!!! Chris bought some Nyto* for me to try.It woild be nice to sleep the whole night and not dream. My dreams seem to get crazier lol.

Naughty Jasper peeing up the chair.I bet you had to have everything shut with those burning mattresses Sheila.Honestly some people are just so*****.I can't think of the word I want.

My neighbour Colin sometimes does a wolf whistle at me from his bathroom window lol.Silly sausage he is.

Ann that is terrible making the paupers wear a big P.That must have made them feel even more worthless. It is a bit like prisoners with arrows on their uniforms !!

Sheila ,how were your socks coming off when you were driving????lol

Thanks everyone for the photo's ,Ann that Stag looked as if he was having a good old doze ,i wouldn't want to get to close to him though .

Fiona , the tree's look lovely at this time of year ,there is a tree in the church yard that last weekend had all its leaves on ,and i said to hubby how lovely it looked ,after just a few days all the leaves have gone !!

Sheila, what a handsome chap Matt was ,loved the bright red car too, i bet heads turn when he drives pass.

Well i must tell you this .....little Chelsea asked son ....Daddy why has Jake got a Winkie !! and i haven't ....son thought now what do i say ,so he told her that Daddy and Jake have Winkies and mummy and you have M*ry's .....Chelsea went quite for a minute .....then she said Daddy .......take your trousers down lol
Dil was in stitches in the kitchen listening to how he was going to answer ,even son said he had to go in the kitchen so she didn't see him laughing lol

Hi ,we all had to go and have a chest xray this afternoon because of the flipping burnt mattresses about 10 people round here .I said my chest is fine and started coughing
which is a bit of a cold but thought I had better go ladies were having a gander at the dishy ambulance man all giggling and he said when we got out come on ladies its time to get your chest looked at and we all started giggling again.poor man he was just trying to organised but some of my neighbours are much younger and rather fancied him
and were trying to put a funny aspect on what was very
annoying its still thick with smoke out there.

Me and my socks Jane I have some shoes like trainers
but open at the front with a bar across and a button in black
and red markings really comfy but my socks keep falling down in them not worn them with socks in the summer.
I need winter shoes .I am driving along and my socks were
almost off my feet had to stop they were driving me mad.
It did not help that Donny was saying hee hee Sheila are you sure its your socks . Beryl kept hitting him with her map
and telling him to shut up so I pulled off the road and took them off altogether. Those two make me laugh I said yesterday Donnie kiss Beryl and she said do you mind
do not give him ideas. I said thought you loved him
and she said like I love a ciggy he is alight and burns out
or I can take him or leave him. Donnie says nothing most of the time.

Oh thats awful about the p for pauper on the clothes
perhaps Donnie should have a D for daft. Thank you for the pictures Fiona and Ann sent some pictures but they might have gone to the moon my comp was going on and sticking it gets busy and plays up. goodness knows how many Mandy got I was pressing to send and it seemed it went and then not I may be in someones bad books again
!!!!! sorry.
I try to forget Matt Maureen I know how you feel with your mum but I was with him when he was ill and keep thinking if only I did this and once I got cross because I put him comfy in bed and he suddenly pulled all the clothes off the bed and got up .I said Matt thank you I just made that bed he said sorry my heads killing me. I keep thinking should have said nothing. Still it wont bring him back so must stop harping on.
Colin sounds nice Jane my neighbour Darrell he always says when he sees me going out in the car oh god Im
getting out the way. When I walk up to the shops with him
he rushes in front and says take your time I forget your getting on now. no wolf whistles for me. my ho used to whistle for me to come in the shop until I threw a box of crisps at him and said dont whistle me .Now he presses
a bell if he wants me.

LOL Mandy.Children don't half come out with some things don't they.I remember one day when I was sat on the settee and James plonked himself down beside me and said "Can I ask you a question Mum"?.I said of course you can.The question was "What is an Orgas*"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Heck ! How difficult to keep a face that was not shocked lol.I just wonder what my Mum would have been like if I had asked that question. She probably would have said "a what"? lol
