Do you think we might all be asked to be bridesmaids lol!! You could be matron of honour cos of your regal status and we could scatter smarties in front of us as we follow you up the aisle!!

Might need a pea shooter too!

I'll leave you to ponder on all the arrangements for now.

I've played too much Mahjong now and my arm hurts!!

We won't get any sense out of you tomorrow night!!

Nite nite, sweet dreams xx

Good they're all asleep. Will give me some time to conjure up my Aussie themed outfit for the grand occasion.

Now what goes with very high heels, a gold lame handbag and a paper fascinator. Hmmm give me something to think about today.

they're NOT all asleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHEESH

It only 3:20 in the afternoon.. Although I was up early Its a little too early to go back to bed.

Love the outfits you'll be the best dressed there.

Wake up you lazy lot. The sun is shining the birds are singing and I have my outfit sorted for the big event.

An elegant safari suit in purple satin. Gold buttons down the front of the jacket. Pants legs rolled up to just below the knee. Black lace stockings will set off the very high heels. I thought about thongs but as it is a special occasion, I'm going with the heels. Shoes will be bright red with diamante trim.

In my hair which is stripey, I am going for this

I rather like the pinky red one. Ensemble complete with my gold lame handbag and a choker of pink and green semi precious stones.

I will bring plenty of scrap paper with me. We can use it to light the barbecue for the wedding breakfast.

After reading what you lot are wearing I've decided my bridesmaid dress is waaaaay too plain.

I'm off to the charity shop to see if i can pick up something really nice.

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 17 Feb 2010 10:03

Don't go to all that expense. These days charity shops are the haunt of the rich and famous and I'm sure prices have skyrocketed.

Why not dress up your bridesmaid dress with a collection of sophisticated accessories.

Now what would I be doing with sophisticated accessories?

I suppose I could get the Christmas decorations out of the loft again. There might be something in there I could use.

I'm sorted.......... I glued big fluffy pick feathers all over my bridesmaid dress, and sprayed the tips of each feather with glitter. Took me ages but it looks lovely now.

I've got some luminous lime green Hunter wellies (to add a bit of class), I'm going to team them up with lime green ribbons intertwined through my ringlets.

Ooooh Pauline, DET & Aunty!!! You will all look amazing!! Like the idea of a barbie too Aunty!!

Maz you need to increase frog's humour level to cope with us. Get him on here and leave him with us for a few hours. We'll soon have him sorted!!

Where's LG, btw!!

Oh, I know, she will be already tucked up on the throne, with red and white striped slanket to keep her warm, cuppa and on count down for the match!! Nor forgetting the woolly hat!!

I know when I mentioned thongs I thought your evil minds would turn to the other configuration. That is why I mentioned high heels in the next breath. I could just wear a thong, underwear style, instead of the trousers rolled up to the knee.

For an elderly woman I have quite an imposing derriere, suitably covered with wrinkles, fat splodges and sprinkled with freckles, age spots and stretch lines. .

I could wear both and whip off the trousers while dancing on the table at the reception. Hands out paper bags and nausea tablets.

I do like the feathers Pauline. Perhaps one of the fascinators I saw on that web site would suit your outfit as well. And no don't live in a posh area, I should say that charity shop dressing is probably considered posh in the not too far distance.

I've just had a reply back from one of my search enquiries. Was supposed to give me a lead. Brick wall again., but with another tiny lead. Bother, but the people who were helping were really nice and did all they could. I now know how they search for merchant seaman records so if anyone has a sailor or two in their tree let me know.
