Just started reading Days of Hope by Lyn Andrews.
Tried to get into Martina Cole's new book, but couldn't.

Call the Midwife & Shadows of the Workhouse appeal to me, & I see they're available on Amazon.

Oh Eldrick, I love that series of books - have you read the others? I love the 'hero' Shardlake, my kind of guy!

Am reading Clarissa Dickson Wright's autobiography but am about to give up on it; it reminds we why I don't normally like the genre - some interesting bits but, on the whole, not well-written. Before that I read an Ann Rule book 'Small Sacrifices' about the Diane Downs case - very good read. Also keep a book of horror stories by the bed to dip into!

Have just finished reading Heart and Soul by Maeve Binchy, one of her better books I think. She had two which sounded like they were just churned out for the money! lol I am now reading one of my favourite authors, Anne Tyler. I have read nearly all of her books and this one is called 'Digging to America'.. Very witty and heart warming, about the lives of two Korean children adopted by two Baltimore families and how their lives intertwine.. Great read. BCxx

If anyone would like the Maeve Binchy book I will be happy to send it to you.

***this is what it says at the back of the book.........

Everybody remembers where they were the day they heard that Paddy de Courcy was getting married !

But for four women in particular, the big news about the charismatic politician is momentous......

Stylist Lola has every reason to be interested in who Paddy's marrying because she's his girlfriend, yet she definately isn't the bride to be.........

Journalist Grace wants the inside story on the de Courcy engagement and thinks Lola holds the key.......

While Grace's sister Marnie still can't forget her first love: a certain Paddy de Courcy. And what of the soon to be Mrs de Courcy?

Alicia wil do anything for her fiance and is determined to be the perfect wife. But does she know the real Paddy?

Four very different women. One awfullly charming man. And the dark secret that binds them all.......

....I have a feeling I'm going to really violently dislike Mr de Courcy LOLOLOL xx
