General Topics anymore

I have seen quite often people put up threads on General then someone will put up the same thread on Chat.

Just wondered as i read all of them

You do put duplicate threads on General at times, Dizzi. Do you read the answers?

I've never understood the reason for duplicating threads on here and Gen. And quite often the OP doesn't return to either one or the other of them.

Hello, Sally. Haven't seen you much lately. Still worrying about the girls going away?

Hello everyone~~~~~

It's easily done.

Admittedly, not everyone checks both boards or even read both boards- sometimes on chat I don't ahem check past the first or second page ahem....

Also sometimes the thread is of general interest to both boards, I can therefore understand why people sometime issue duplicates.

Ah, Lesley. You can into a lot of strife if you don't read the whole thread. They can turn very quickly:)))

Morning Sue~~~~

I try to read whole threads, at least skim read if I can:-) However, people sometimes answer posts as they go along and haven't got to the end yet. This can be understandable with the length of some threads :-)

Hi SueMaid. Well they are there and settled in. Have had several texts saying the caravan is making funny noises! Well yes I explained it heats up and cools down and makes creaking sounds!
I also had a call saying she felt reallt sick! She was crying and upset. So I told her to sit down and calm down. Turned out they'd been eating way too much sugary stuff. lol. Next phone call was to tell me they were back at the clubhouse. Panic over.

I think some just dont want to join in the same thread /post as say ...somebody who gets up their nose lol.
Other times they have not noticed its the same subject as the thread title isn't that clear.
Doesnt really bother me unless it thread after thread about one person.

It will Sue. I just hope that I don't get any texts tomorrow morning at 2 am asking me about noises! lol

Julie I must admit I thought you meant the same person posting the same thread on both! I guess there are some people from Gen who don't venture here (don't know why! ;) ) and vice versa and therefore post similar threads without knowing it. I tend to flit between the two boards.

Morning lovely ladies....

Julie I very rarely go over to gen these days "chat " is the in place to be dont you know.lol Only last night as it was full of ack on here I went over to Gen and to be honest found it all doom and gloom A-Z not even a decent quiz.

I rarely see the double postings now but then apart if it is important I can understand it but not for I have cut my toe nails thread.....or Boo...lol

I stopped using General so much for two reasons.........firstly.......it seemed to me that everytime I looked in the first page was pretty much full of game threads and I got fed up ploughing through them to find anything of interest, and secondly.......I made some mates over here and eventually felt more comfortable posting here than there.

I don't generally double post on both boards........I would only do that if it was to inform people that someone was ill etc......never for every day topics......too much like hard work answering on both lol xx

I'm an EITHER/OR person, not BOTH, depending on what I want to say. Somethings I think, for me personally, are better suited to CHAT, others to GEN. I never put the same topic on both boards.
